MY company wants me to install ESET

So my company wants me to install ESET or ESET management agent. This is the first time I've experienced this. My question is can they view my network/computer?

With the ESET management agent installed it's possible to monitor the installed software, run commands remotely, etc., however, ESET doesn't provide a remote control tool similar to Remote Desktop.
