ACT.0 and ECP.20003 errors activating ESET Endpoint Antivirus 8

Recommended Posts

Hi,

We created an installer for all our new computers. It works ok installing agent and antivirus, but we can't activate them.

Our management console appliance uses 8443 port and if we telnet it from the computers it works. It shows an error that they can't connect with the activation server and the ECP.20003 code.

How can we fix it?

The activation server is the appliance, or they need to connect to internet?

Thanks!

Does Endpoint connect directly to the Internet or through a proxy?

Is communication with the addresses listed in https://support.eset.com/en/kb332 allowed on the firewall?

Hi,

We are with more issues activating the devices.

Checked that we can telnet to 443 port to edf.eset.com for example. But it's impossible to activate any device, new or reinstaled.

What can we check?

Thanks!

Our management console appliance uses 8443 port

I assume this means your sending all outbound HTTPS traffic using port 8443?

Of note per the prior Eset KB linked article:

Quote

Your ESET product communicates with resources on the Internet over standard HTTP protocol on Port 80, or over HTTPS on Port 443.
