Removable Devices

Recommended Posts

I just purchased ESET Smart Security Premium for Windows and I am now unable to access my external hard drive as I need to use it. Before the install of ESET Smart Security Premium I was able to access it but now I cant access it. It effects any removable media I connect. I did plug my hard drive into another computer and it worked fine. What do I need to do in order to access the hard drive?

ESET should not be blocking it unless you have enabled Device Control and created a rule to block removable drives. Do you have Device Control integration enabled?

Does temporarily disabling real-time protection in the advanced setup and rebooting the machine make a difference? If not, could you try temporarily uninstalling ESET just to see if the issue goes away then?
