txhawkeye 0
Is there a way to clear all ‘temporarily remember action for the process’ rules without rebooting? Or put another way: is there a way to restore the active set of rules contained in the rules definitions? I have run into several situations where communication is being blocked and there are no ‘permanent’ rules defined that would block the communication. This is communication normally works, but sometimes becomes blocked for unknown reasons. Disabling the firewall allows the communication; simply rebooting allows the communication. So I’m wondering if there is a way to re-initialize the rules on demand?
Administrators Marcos 4,915 Posted April 2, 2014 Administrators Share Posted April 2, 2014 It would be necessary to kill / close the appropriate process in order for the the block action to cease. Also restarting ekrn would most likely work but Self-defense would have to be disabled.
