Have you considered using idle-time scanning as a solution to your daily scanning issues?

Normally I don't use daily scanning. I use it now to test the scheduler. However, I use a weekly in-depth scan. That takes several hours. I doubt if my system is idling that much, because when I don't use my computer, I switch it off.
