geofer 0
I'm attempting to install ESET Endpoint Antivirus 6.6.2052.0 on a Dell Optiplex 3020 running Win 7 64-bit SP1. It's a fresh install using the provided recovery disk. The computer is on a domain. Windows updates has not been run and the just basic drivers from Dell were installed. During the install portion of the program I get "The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2755." jhendrickson 0
Geofer, I'm just a network admin, but i have been doing some learning. the installer is a windows MSI bootstrapped into an EXE. Its probably the MSI error code you're getting back from it. The list is here: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa372835(v=vs.85).aspx yours is this: 2755 Server returned unexpected error [2] attempting to install package [3]. I can tfigure out where the MSI installer log file writes to, but maybe it fires an even in the clients event log? Best of luck, JH
