Dan Massameno 0 Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 I'm using a Client Task for uninstallation of "Third-party antivirus software (Built with OPSWAT)". Is this designed to remove/disable the Windows built-in antimalware (Defender or Security Essentials)? I'm finding that it does not and I'm wondering if it was designed to only remove 3rd party apps, or it's a bug, or I’m doing it wrong. Thank you.
ESET Staff MichalJ 434 Posted February 24, 2017 ESET Staff Posted February 24, 2017 The list of supported applications is listed in the KB Article: http://support.eset.com/kb3527/ You should check, whether the MS version is the correct one. Please note, that if you are trying to do it on Windows 10 it won´t work, as Defender is now part of the Windows. It will however switch off, when another AV application is installed.
