Excuse me if this has been dealt with, as i am a bit confused. Should i leave SSL scanning option on? This PC uses Outlook 2106, - my other PC uses Thunderbird. if i have to set my email program & or Browser (Firefox), do i have to have them properly configured? and if so, how do i properly configure them. (yes - i know this is a Mozilla issue - however, i want to properly use Eset with Mozilla). One site (not Eset) told me to shut off SSL scanning? Thanks for any help available out there.

this PC is 1 license. I bought eset - for 2 licenses. one license is inactive on another computer. The question is putting the new license for 2 devices OVER the present license for 1 device.

the product od EIS 10 currently on this PC is a 1 licenser. What i bought is a 2 licenser. Will that cause a need for uninstall - install? Thanks.

Can i download EIS 11 over existing EIS 10, or do i have to do an uninstall of EIS 10, and then install EIS 11? I ask this, as on a different pc, i had to uninstall-install. Got frustrated, and unstalled EIS 11 - using BD IS on that other machine, but i miss eset. Actually, I miss eset 10 - not eset 11. Still using eset 10 on this present PC. Any input or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have been on a phone in S. Cal - 2 hours of my (& agent's) time. However, i got some answers. Following are some Questions. Q. -1 - Eset live grid has again said it is not accessible - however, i have re-set to default mode in the advanced tools. for a while it was OK - than it is saying not accessible again. Q. - 2 - On the update splash screen, there is a message that says show all modules - installed components come up - the dates of each component are different - is this normal? Q. - 3 - A message box kept coming up - "i - Get access to another application". i do not understand this - the one change i made when i set back to default was go from automatic mode to learners mode (because i had installed Ver. 11..) Is this the reason? Q. - 4 - i see no message that thunderbird is being covered - i have T-Bird 45.8.0. Should i upgrade t-bird? Q. 5 - is it possible to uninstall this off of my PC & re-install later - i had fewer problem with the last 10. ... I am wondering if i will wait till vers. 11 bugs are solved. I realize this is not your fault - you have MS updating, different email clients, etc. On my side, i rarely go to forum - but my last 2 days have been consumed with chat, phone, etc. I need good condescending answers to my needs. I will look at the forum reply to this tomorrow - PST. sincerely.

Thank you Marcos. You are very good at your work, & i appreciate that. I'll phone support later, as now they claim that my email address is not valid!! I think a lot of this happened when i was told by chat page to uninstall 10 - - install 11. I ordered a CD to be mailed to me - V. 11. Q. - If i uninstall V. 11, will this CD allow me to re-install? I think a lot of my teoubles were - 3 PCs - each with a different license of eset. (one is Nod32 - other 2 are EIS). What i installed/downloaded was a multi device license. i have not put eset 11 onto other PC with EIS until bugs straightened out. I installed eis. 11 as i was told to (by chat session). Is there anyway i can go back to previous version without going thru the install/uninstall process? or should i just wait till it is officially released to the public Thanks.

I just just paid - renewed - my ESS - now EIS renewal fee. Q. - 1 - i was told (via eset Chat) to pay the amt - which i did online. I was than told to uninstall eis-10, which i did. I was than told to download installer, which i did. Why was i unable to just renew? Why the uninstall before the installer "install" AFTER i had paid was not in my possession. Q. - 2 - i am doing an in depth scan - it is 2 hhrs & going - done about about 375,000 files - and each file says "unable to open" - IN RED. Looks like a long scan. I asked for the scan myself - was not hte automatic one that comes with a download. Q. - 3 -Can i set up eset so that t-Bird can be scanned? Q. - 4 - Under "advanceed setup/web & email/email client protection - threat sense paremeters" - i am given 2 names never heard of before - DBX and EML. What do these mean - should i chek them? Q. - 5- What are advanced eset CMD commands? Q. - 6 -I notice a box in eset window where it says i can drop & scan. How do i get files into the box to be scanned? Q. - 7 - Which should i use - smart mode or automatic mode? I enjoy eset - in particular the options (enable disable live grid). In the past, i liked it for the ease of install & setup, but it has been a bear this time. I still don't know why i was unable to upgrade to ver. 11 without the un / install procedure. I went up to the various updated versions of #10 in the past - why not to V. 11? Appreciate some answers - i am not a wiseman geek - however, i use eset because they allow me to think on my own, & help me in the process. Respectfully.

Sorry - not a tech savvy. As i understand, Eset will not allow Thunderbird antiSpam - i am ok with that. Here is where my ignorance kicks in - does eset protect me when i bring in emails using thunderbird? Thanks.

I have installed Office 2016 on 2 PCs - one is Business, the other Student. My question - i am not sure whether to download & install recommended updates from MS. I previously had office 2007 - not sure if this is the updates they are sending. One PC is on W-7 - the other on w-10. Thanks.

What exactly is gamer mode. I do not like the eset update pop-ups popping upwhen i am working offline. Thanks.

I am running OFFICE Pro (includes Outlook) 2007 on 3 computers. I heard MS was going to quit supporting Office 2007 in Oct. Some people tell me don't worry - just continue using Office 2007. 2 of my PCs have W-7 operating systems - i believe i can control MS patches, etc with W-7. However, on W-10, i cannot control MS updates. I am suspecting they might even send something to STOP Office 2007 from operating correctly. BOTTOM LINE - am i ok to continue using Office 2007, & just depend on my Eset software to protect me?? I understand this is a "funny" question - input appreciated.

i found the following in the log file of the initial scan after installing EIS. Tried to delete it - won't delete. Should i leave it alone? Log C:\Documents and Settings\James\Application Data\BabSolution\Shared\BUSolution.dll - a variant of Win32/Toolbar.Babylon.P potentially unwanted application - action selection postponed until scan completion

Hi again. i am not really sure if i am doing the in depth scan proper. I usually use the smart scan, but occasionally i will do an custom scan. I check off "in-depth scan", as well as check "PC" Is this the right procedure? Could you also explain what exactly smart scan is doing, as well as what in-depth scan is doing. Thanks again.
