  1. Hi,

can someone say me in witch table i found the following thinks:

    - Computername, last Connection, FQDN, Serialnumber

/// optional the primary keys to connect the tables if its not clear like computer_id  /// also optional known problems of the pc

In the past FQND and Serial was not list but with ESMC there are some new device informations, i hope this is now possible.

I need this for a adjustment with a other system.

    ESMC Version 7.0.577.0

    Thx and relaxed weekend :)

  2. Hi,

I would install ESET over our Kiosk System. Is there a way to open ESET and show the status after installation?

Our Kiosk system can run different scripts (VBs, PS, BATCH) or CMD commands directly.

When i start the egui.exe with CMD it only opens a new instance. Exists there secret parameters?

Other posibility: Is the a way to check for status "reboot need"

    thx HSW

  3. Hi,

after switch to V7 we have some Clients with the error "Device control is not fully functional".

1.) what is the difference to "Device control is not functional"

    2.) a reboot dont help

3.) uninstall + reinstall help but error appears again later

4.) in 1 case it helps to unplug thunderbold dockingstation, reboot without and error was gone but appears today again.

    any idea?

  4. i  have identify the problem, the V7 Clients have a problem with the "old" policy i have create a new one and there are no problems. I dont know why this happens and why not instant. In my opinion it must be a problem with the database entry of the policy.

The ESET customer support is to slow and bad so i try every time to resolve this alone or with the good forum support ;)

I can send you the old policy with PM.

A question is if you see a possibility to export known devices from the old policy. (with sql or other ways?)

  5. Hi together,

Since 1-2h we have more and more the problem that usb devices not get warned they get instant blocked by user (without showing the notification screen and without asking)

In the log you can read blocked by user. We have only 85 V7 Clients Rest still V6.5 with this clients there are no problems.

The phenomenon is, its work 1-5 times with the same stick and after this attemps it gets blocked. No restart or shoutdown helps.

    Any Info about this problem?

We have the newest version of ESMC Server all "problem" clients have EEA (2 or so on EES) the Agents are also actualy.

Normaly the usb policy allow some known sticks and all others gets warned but nothing gets blocked. This is a big problem for us i hope you can help quick.

@HSW Are you talking about ESMC or Endpoint Security here? (I was referring to Endpoint Security & AntiVirus in this thread, but you raise an interesting point)

I'm presuming that EES and EEA v7 will work fine with either ERAv6  or with ESMC v7, but I realised I haven't checked that specifically.

Ideally at this stage I'd roll out some EESv7 test machines, whilst I remain on ERAv6.  I'd then look at a switch to ESMC v7 at a later date, when I have more time.

    @everyone else.

Thanks for the input and replies so far. Makes me more confident to invest the time in trialling EES and EEA v7 for a few machines at this end. Still worth others replying too though, as I'm sure I won't be the only one with this question, and the more who answer, the better a picture everyone gets of product readiness for the primetime! :)

    Thanks again

    Mike

I mean ESMC sorry missing S ^^, and iam still not shure if i can upgrade Server WITHOUT upgrade all clients after. Is it possible to use V7 Server and V6.5 Agents with all old policy setups? If yes i would upgrade and test some clients, if not i must wait.

  7. Hi we actualy use: ESET Security 6.5.15015.1 (before ESET Security 4.5.15022.0)

After some time the ESET Server count the number of persons wrong (more than exist)

-> Server is "Microsoft SharePoint Foundation 2013" on a Server 2012 R2 (Domain Login deactivate on the SharePoint pages)

How count ESET the users, and how long it counts the users, exist there a cache or a timebase lock like MS do?

I use a PowerShell script to read out all the users and there where some deactivate accounts, could this be a problem? We delete them now but ESET still counts more users than exist.

Can i do something to "reset" the users and count new?

    thx for help
