I read all the previous replies seems like a new product line has been introduced by ESET which is almost confusing as ESSP have all the features of Eset Home Premium. So it kind of not makes much sense. Also I have read that new product lines have liveguard which is a plus for those who have Internet Security version. But they must think about product lines they should have introduced 1 and 2. It can't be more confusing from the consumer's point of view. They should learn from Kaspersky of how to introduce new product lines.

@itmanhow new product line will affect ESET's existing product line. Will a license of ESET Smart Security Premium be upgraded to ESET Home Premium ? Since features are same in the first 2 tier of new products which are basically the ESET Internet Security and ESSP versions atleast feature wise. Please clarify my concern. I will wait for your answer.

@MarcosI have noticed this issue as well (in my case o was not showing up instead of o , i was being displayed) but now its all good and not encountering the issue anymore.

It would be nice if ESET introduces a vulnerability scanner or app updater for Smart Security Premium. Its an important feature which helps to protect from vulnerable applications. Similar to what Norton has introduced few months back.

I was able to block internet connection of any application with the help of Eset's firewall. Thanks for the help. My query has now been resolved.

I want to disable my internet connection using Eset's firewall is it possible ? So that no one can transfer any data using internet connection. Basically to cut off the internet connection even if someone wanted to connect they cannot do so ? If it has any such options please provide me the steps with screenshots if possible.

Does Eset detects malware based on Batcloak engine. Trend micro did research and find out that most of the AVs are still unable to detect this malware. I have a link of Trend Micro page which contains Indicators of compromise which is basically SHA256 of the file. Upon checking it over virustotal it is not showing that Eset is detecting it. But I know Virustotal analysis is not the exact way of telling whether an AV is detecting a malware sample or not. Can anyone confirm that ESET is aware of this particular threat or not ? If not then please try to add it to the virus database of Eset.

Eset is able to quarantine the zemana vulnerable driver theat. Plus it also protects from Spybot malwares reported by other AV. So Eset users are safe.

I have set up 2fa for ESET's Password manager. But it keeps asking after it gets log out automatically after few minutes. It would be better if Eset provides lock feature to save the details as it is and instead of logging out a user can lock it manually. Then after manually entering the password it should open directly without asking for 2fa. 2fa should be asked only when a user is logging in for the first time. Thats why I don't use Eset's Passoword manager even if its good. Someone from Eset team please escalate this issue and provide such options.

Eset do provide that option for free but I found that ESET customer service for such purposes are outsourced and the technicians are not an expert as other AVs technical support team are highly skilled with knowledge. That I found lacking in ESET's one.

@peteyt unchecked the remember me option. Now the only thing bothers me is that I have to provide 2fa code every time and no manual lock option. It has inactivity lock for 1 min or 5 mins but when logging in it requires 2fa codes which is what bothering me. It must introduce manual lock option and 2fa should be asked for the first time when sigining in not every time.

I have set up 2fa for Eset Password manager of mine. Also checked the box remember me. Eset needs to introduce lock option which users can use to manually lock the password manager. A lot of password managers offer this feature. When I open my PC and browser for the first time it is automatically signed me in which is not good as per privacy or security perspective. I have setup the inactivity lock after few mins. But if it opens the password manager after the browser is opened for the first time then the whole security is being compromised. Rather introduce a lock option and make sure 2fa authentication will not be required after signing in for the first time afterwards the user can lock it manually. It keeps asking me the master password and 2fa at small intervals if I have not enabled the remember me option. Please reply to my post and provide me a solution for it.

Its a hypothetical question which I need an answer for it. I have Eset Smart Security License. My region is India. If I have a suspected virus or a virus which has got passed into the system ? How can I avail remote desktop support for virus removal ? Is it a paid service or free for paid users ? Also need to know exact support link for live chat for India region by using which I can get the support for remote desktop for virus removal ?

I wrote on 6 Oct to the support team still didnt got reply via email. So I dont have technical supoort ticket number. @MarcosSure the issue is not technical but a remote asisstance could easily solve my problems. This is the first time I am asking for remote support.

I am facing certain issues with ESET Smart Security Premium. I am able to easily create encrypted virtual drive with one of its feature but I am unable to encrypt usb of mine. I did unchecked the option which says "decrypt on this device" . But still that usb is accessible and its content can be deleted without entering its password. I am highly dissatisfied with ESET customer service as I never contacted customer service as its not easy to avail ESET customer service for India region. I have a paid product and I want this issue to be resolved from your end. Please provide me remote assistance to resolve this issue. I am using extension of ESET Password Manager over Windows 11 device. I have checked the box of remember me and provided inactivity lock of few minutes. So after the expiry of few min it asks me for the PIN that I had set up with it. That's fine no problem there. But when I open the browser for the first time after opening up my PC it automatically starts logging me in and it won't ask for the PIN that I had set up. It's kind of a flaw as it should be asking my PIN first. I hope this necessary changes are fixed via update. As I have trouble logging out as I have set up 2fa also. So it would be nice if it asks for the PIN first instead of showing me credentials and notes automatically after opening the browser for the first time. After that when the minutes lapses it locks and asks for the PIN.

@Marcos when will I get a reply with the analysis results over my email ? I seriously didnt like the support provided by ESET. I wanted to have the results of the analysis via email. Also please tell me does support being provided by ESET to Indian users ? Can you provide me live chat link of the chat support for India region ?

Today I submitted a suspected file via email. I had not used my primary ESET account email and used one of Yahoo email of mine. I had password protected the file with the password "infected" all lower case. Any idea how much time will it take to get back the results of analysis via reply by ESET Labs.

Can someone help me how to submit it to the ESET for analysis ?

I am using a keyboard splitter app over Windows PC which is used for Gaming purpose for keyboard. I recently found that it has 2 Virustotal detections and ESET is showing the app clean. I wanted to submit the file for analysis and to make sure that its safe. But unable to email at samples@eset.com as Gmail is not allowing the password protected file to be attached to the email. Please help me to send the file for analysis and I want to receive the update of the result.

Please introduce new features to ESET Smart Security Premium or ESET Internet Security. 1. Add two factor authentication via sms text message over mobile device. A lot of users don't use 2fa based on authenticator app. Make sure sms based 2fa is required for any ESET login and for first time logging in over ESET Password manager's app over any platform. It is a basic feature which is necessarily required. 2. Ask for Password when scanning "password protected zip files / password protected archives". Show a screen with ESET interface to provide user to enter Password when scanning via computer scan or context menu scan for password protected zip files and so that ESET can deal with the threats without decompressing the content of zip files. Kaspersky and Bitdefender provide such options. Its good to see if ESET introduces it as well. 3. I think ESET protects keyloggers from intercepting data when entered into Protected browser. But ESET can provide Keylogging protection by scrambling the data entered in browser. Sophos Home Premium provides such features. It will be interesting to see such features in ESET Smart Security Premium.
