  1. Hi Brian, Thanks for the report. Please can you tell me, what were you updating from? A previous Windows 11 or Windows 10? Also are you using ESET Endpoint Encryption managed by the EEE Server? If so was your laptop encrypted using the TPM? We are aware of issues with upgrading to Windows 11 where the TPM becomes disabled during the upgrade. In these cases the TPM needs to be turned back on in the BIOS. Duncan
  2. The simplest way to achieve this is to use the /ConfigFile switch for setup.exe and point it to the EFDE setupconfig.ini file located in : C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WSUS\ This way all settings required for EFDE will be used during the setup. This config file contains: [SetupConfig] ReflectDrivers=C:\WINDOWS\system32\dlpcore\Upgrade\ ResizeRecoveryPartition=Disable Priority=Normal This is the same as using setup.exe /ReflectDrivers C:\WINDOWS\system32\dlpcore\Upgrade\ /ResizeRecoveryPartition Disable /Priority Normal When used with setup, a path is passed to a folder that contains any driver and .inf files that are to be reflected during the upgrade process. If your tool simply requires the path, please use "C:\WINDOWS\system32\dlpcore\Upgrade\". IMPORTANT Please also ensure the ResizeRecoveryPartition option is Disabled. Resizing the partition can affect the encrypted partitions and could cause the machine to not boot.
  3. Hi The process is documented here, it is done from your console. There is a task that allows you to pause the authentication for time or number of reboots. There is also a policy to disable it. https://help.eset.com/efde/en-US/index.html?maintenance_mode.html
