I can submit files via the UI but need to have hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN531 ThreatSense enabled.
Presumably this would apply to those with hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN3179 LiveGrid ?

There are many Hosts files out there, this one seems to be the most effective.
Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.Regards,
Good stuff silijaline.
I like the host file you provided.

These are generally forms of tracking cookies.
Unless you were specifically infected, there is no need for concern.
Use a Hosts file.
Enable tracking protection lists.
If using Firefox to Browse the web, consider using AdBlockPlus.
Many of the above are users favorites for Mozilla and Internet Explorer.

We appreciate you having expressed your additional concerns. I will consult further with ESET Staff or reply to you as an ESET user.

Windows Defender is fully compatible with your software.
See article for full details. Additionally, you may turn off Windows Defender functionality if you should choose to do so, but not necessary as they both work well in tandem.

Both virus radar and Threat sense updates both appear to be working fine.
Please be reminded that your software pings the update servers every hour, by default.Your virus signature definitions should be currently at 8602

Windows XP has it's own native Firewall.
Use of third party software may not be necessary unless you wish to deploy ZoneAlarm just the same.

We are happy to know you are pleased with your AV software choice.
I welcome those PUP warnings.
Never saw them from an antivirus before.
So glad I switched to NOD32.

If you believe it is a false-positive, submit the URL to ESET via: hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN141 For analysis.

Apologies on duplication of customer care request link.
Suggest topic move to https://forum.eset.com/forum/30-malware-finding-and-cleaning/
It should get more attention there. Noting that it is or was the weekend. Please submit a customer care request.
I gave him that link already. He said it would not work for him. I did not think anyone was going to respond to the thread so I responded. You must have responded while I was typing the post. I normally would not touch this topic, but he was stuck without anyone else to help. Try contacting customer support again. Report back if you are unable to get though.

You are aware of the known issues of the version 7 Beta.
Have said that, I don't see SSL or site logins as a listed issue. If these issues are persistent to you, I would probably recommend reverting to a more stable build until some of these bugs are fixed.
Thanks for your report. Hoping that I have addressed all your concerns to this juncture.

Please see: https://forum.eset.com/topic/355-forumesetcom-moving-to-ssl/ Private message an ESET Moderator if this does not fix your issue.

ESET appreciates your feedback.
As long as the software is within the support lifecycle window -- you are most welcome to run a 4x version.I very much like that ESET allows customers the option to run older versions, even if it isn't recommended to do so.
