  1. MichalJ - the weekly scan did not run this morning as it was supposed to. Launched just now via the scheduler.
  2. Thanks, I will be standing by for the QA comments and feedback. I appreciate the assistance.
  3. I have changed the value or parameter in the Skipped Task box to "At Next Scheduled Time" The in-depth scan now completes in about 1.5 hours. I am following up here as you didn't provide closing remarks.
  4. Skipped Task screen capture per your request.
  5. If you mean screen captures, see attached. If no, please elaborate. I do agree with your statement that numerous scans at once indicates issues.
  6. I've enabled Smart Optimization as it's not enabled by default. Not everyone has countless hours determining if these settings are all optimal. I will not use Smart Scan in lieu of an in-depth Weekly Scan as recommended by ESET.
  7. ESET Endpoint Antivirus Version 6.4.2014.0 on Win 7 32 bit O/S These issues were encountered during a regular weekly scan of two internal hard drives approximately 232 GB each + one Western Digital MyBook external drive at 1.3 TB. Scanning all targets via hxxp://support.eset.com/kb2909/?locale=en_USscan setup on scheduler is listed as weekly "in depth scan" - not to be confused with Smart Scan which I never use. Question Plus issues - Why does it take 3.5 hours to scan all these drives ? Email file scanning is disabled. Why (or) is it normal to see numerous scan dialog boxes during the scan ? (see screen capture) When scan is completed the scan results are not kept on the UI after a reboot although they should for further review. I see this as a bug. Can no longer dismiss the scan results dialogue.
  8. Release V10 then as this build seems to be causing too many headaches. Last time I looked ESET AV was set-and-forget.
  9. I was only made aware of this release via way of a user in the Netherlands. I believe he is in this thread. Hello FredW.
  10. ESET Endpoint Antivirus 6.4.2014.0 is available! hxxp://www.dslreports.com/forum/r30833949-Paid-ESET-Endpoint-Antivirus-6-4-2014-0 Regards,
  11. Hello, I've just upgraded to Endpoint 6.2.2033 and I've found more unwanted entries in the back end that I've removed as they're unwanted and were not announced anywhere that I've read. This is on a Windows 7 - 32 bit Dell OptiPlex PC. Below are the entries I've removed since I've been on the 6x family platform.
  12. Hello FredW! Thank you for visiting the official forum at my suggestion to get real answers from ESET Staff. You are in most capable hands.
  13. I've asked ESET Tech Writing to start a new KB Article on this requirement as there currently is none that states this in order to boot sans the antivirus.
  14. Hello, I've just upgraded ESET Endpoint to version 6.2.2021 on Win 7 32 bit from the 5.1.1 version Family. When I noted that there is no longer an MSCONFIG item under the new installation, I did some digging and found this. The software installation introduces the following ESET.com Trusted Zone entries in the Registry unbeknownst to the user. Since the above were likely introduced in order for the sites in question to be "trusted" by the Browser, it is not opt-in, therefore I have manually removed these entries as they are not required nor are they necessary. There should be no entries in the trusted sites zone in Internet Explorer. This was something that was once required for Windows Update. As far as the lack of an MSCONFIG item, this poses a problem for those that may want to do a selective boot - (with the AV disabled) - for troubleshooting purposes. We would not want advanced users having to stop Window Services unless required. Other than these observations - am happy with the improved bits and layout.
  15. If you must Torrent, use a version that is not bundled with third party apps that contain PUA's or as defined here. Post back the version number of the software in question.
  16. While I'm not ESET, you may view the timeline of events here. https://blog.kaspersky.com/kaspersky-statement-duqu-attack/

  18. This is not the only site reporting this. ESET have been made aware internally.
  19. I was unable to reach the site for an extended period of time under IE 11 earlier on April 24. It seems to have now cleared up. It was a site outage issue that I observed and not a certificate issue. For those that are socially inclined, you may always fire off a Tweet to ESET in the event you cannot view the Forum. https://twitter.com/esetna
  20. Please feel free to PM an ESET Staffer as you deem fit. A permanent URL pinhole in your AV software is not a good idea on a site that doesn't normally require such an action.
  21. Please have ESET Staff sign off on the URL exclusion before you set and forget. If your query is not answered in a timely manner - PM a Staff Member.
  22. There are no set official release dates for additional languages than were anounced Stand by for localized installers.
  23. Here's something from today on ESET Endpoint 5.0229.1
  24. Thread marked as best answer - no longer an issue.
