  1. On "Virus Total" , 9anime.to has 2(two) hits from 72 engines. The 2 engine detecting the site as "malicious" are Quttera and CRDF (practically unknown players) I would say that is safe to access 9anime.to in proportion of 99.9%
  2. see here: https://www.securitynewspaper.com/2016/11/24/new-decryption-tool-crysis-ransomware/ "A new tool to recover encrypted files ESET has created a free decryption tool for Crysis ransomware victims in order to help any person whose data or devices have been affected by the Crysis family. The tool was developed using the master decryption keys recently published. If you have been a victim of Crysis ransomware, you can find and download the ESET Crysis decryptor from our free utilities page. If you need additional information on how to use the tool, please refer to ESET Knowledgebase."
  3. The recommended action was " Try running a scan with Malwarebytes Anti-malware" which can be performed by the free version of Malwarebytes. It s true, but at the same time ESET ranks the lowest compared with the leading competitors or even Windows defender from Microsoft , so not something you should mention or be proud of. Yes, this is the general statement to justify non-detection/
  4. Not very encouraging when another antimalware (free) is being recommended to clean-up whatever ESET (paid0 is not able to do....
  5. With all due respect, if I may ask: how did you get access to this kind of info?? ("WD ATP not triggering until 5 instances or so of the ransomware being detected by WD ATP installations; usually within country")
  6. ESET has a specialized anti-ransomware shield, a HIPS shield and a "Machine learning" shield, so the malware doesn't need to be seen , not even once. This is the purpose of all these 3 , signature less shields. As long as is "seen' any anti-malware can generate a signature and block it. If Microsoft was able to detect it 50 min . earlier than ESET than what would be the benefit of using a paid anti-malware???
  7. AV TEST Sep/Oct 2019 Microsoft FP =1 Average Industry =4
  8. Yes, but the common denominator is??? Microsoft detected all of them.
  9. It is true, but the ransomware shield from Malwarebytes was acquired from another company, is not an "in house" product. Moreover , is a behavior shield, not signature based. I tested several times with live ransomwares (Wannacry one of them) each and every time I had 4 files encrypted and , after that ,the ransomware was quarantined.
  10. Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware is a stand alone program, free for everybody. Is integrated in malwarebytes paid, but can be used as a standalone program. see here: https://blog.malwarebytes.com/malwarebytes-news/2016/01/introducing-the-malwarebytes-anti-ransomware-beta/
  11. Hello, Would be possible to do the same test with Malwarebytes Antiransomware free? https://malwarebytes-anti-ransomware.en.softonic.com/
