Hello,
Yesterday I updated to version 12.2.28.0.
Since then Windows reports after each restart that the Firewall is not active.

@Marcos: I thought this forum was designed to allow ambitious users to communicate problems or the like directly to ESET.
This is already the second time that a problem reported by me is dismissed by you. The first time, after it was reported by a second user, it was suddenly recognized and processed. This translation is certainly not a good German.
But in the future I won't bother anymore to report anything here.
Greetings

This issue cannot be addressed by a module update. A fix will be included in the next hotfix build.
This was already promised at the last hotfix.
Now that Windows' own protection is getting better and better, you might want to react faster.

Yes, I need them.
I manage multiple PCs and would like to be notified of any viruses or problems.
-
Only if I disable the email notification completely I don't get a notification after the signature update.
-
Since today I have the version 11.2.63.00.
The e-mail after the signature update is still coming.

Hello Peter,
the version is 1685.8 from 21.06.2018, but the error persists.
Here is the current mail I got:

Hi Marcos,
Since the error has only occurred since version 11.2.46.0 , which is apparently still unofficial, I thought the forum was the right place.

Hello,
I have now set the warning level to "Error", but the email is still being sent.
How do I get the dispatch switched off without deactivating it completely?Greetings

Hello,
Since the update to version 11.2.46.0 I receive e-mails as soon as the signature database has been updated.
In the e-mail settings the level is set to "Warnings" and no mails have been sent until now, only since the update to 11.2.46.0

Hello,
When I edit an e-mail address saved in the blacklist and then save it again, I get the following error message:
When anti-spam protection was executed on the COREI5-4670K computer, the following message was generated: Anti-spam protection: Unexpected exception error (0022).
This message repeats every time I restart until I delete the address in the blacklist

As of v10 this should not be present in the run registry key at all as egui is started by ekrn.
In version 11.0.144.0 I had to reactivate this entry, otherwise the GUI does not start anymore.
In the previous version 11 the GUI starts without this entry. -
Hello,
I've been using the German version 11 for some time now and never had this problem before. As of today, this error message also comes to me. Immediately after starting, then the message disappears and comes back after a short time. The internet connection is stable and permanent.

Please let us know if it worked. I already have a new license, so I could enter it directly
-
@user: That's normal. You didn't renew the existing license, you purchased a new one. A new license is always valid from the day of activation. The first time this happened to me, too. But since you get new licenses cheaper than renewals, I have accepted it. Next time, just wait until the previous license has expired.

I'm sorry for the trouble caused, in case you have an install log from the upgrade or any related logs I'm willing to look into it.
Regards, P.R.
Since I had to install a complete system backup, I did not have any logs.I hope the error does not occur with other users who may not have a complete backup.
5 hours ago, Peter Randziak said:The info about Virus signature database / Detection engine has been removed on purpose. It simplifies the GUI and such information is not that relevant as it used to be.
But it was an easy, quick way to check if the update was done automatically. I think, the flyover is not particularly complicated because there is one more information in it

Big Problem
I have installed version 11 over version 10 without any problems.
Nevertheless, I wanted to do a clean reinstallation and uninstalled version 11. After restarting, the computer hung up immediately after the BIOS screen. Several reboots and attempting an automatic repair didn't help, I had to install a complete system backup.
I have now returned to version 10.

Hello,
In version 10 you could see the virus database version in the taskbar. In version 11 you can't see them anymore.
Can this be reactivated? -
Hello,
then the autoupdate function would be useless. If this is really so and I always have to manually take care of an update, then I must look for another program.
I ask for an official statement.

@RamiNo, there is no error message directly after the start. After 1 - 2 minutes the message appears in the notification window of Windows 10.
Under "Security & Maintenance" of Windows 10, however, no error is displayed.
@MarcosI'll send you logs right away.
