  1. " These are really old computers that are used for a single task, they're over 10 years old and have 1 GB RAM and 80 GB hard drives. Not really worth the money to upgrade. "

If you are still using them then they ARE worth the money to upgrade. Logically, if you are using systems that perform a specific task and that task is a business-critical thing then the driving software should be updated. If it is not possible to do this then the policy that these systems operate from is outdated and needs correcting.

To recap: either they are not worth updating in which case they are not worth keeping. Or, they are necessary systems and, therefore, the time and money required to update should be set to it.

  2. I had a power outage at home and when power was restored my bios clock had reset. The date difference causes Smart Security, etc to flag all websites, certificates, etc as invalid. It took me some clicks to realise it was the clock that was the problem. However, now a few sites do not show images or comments, etc as I had blocked a few things which looked suspicious and ESET declared were invalid/unknown certificates but were not.

It would be a good idea to clearly indicate that the clock may be the problem (time synchronisation). This surely cannot be a problem to achieve if the ESET software can figure out that a datestamp for a certificate may be out of synch.

As an aside, how do I now fix the blocked links I previously clicked?

  3. Marcos, it clearly states TRANSLATION. Your comment is redundant and I would posit that the poster's primary language is NOT English.

If there is a Thai website then maybe you can direct her there otherwise, she (and others) is posting in the only place available as a non-English speaker where a relevant site suited to a person's native tongue is not possible.
