Hello, We use a wildcard certificate for one of our intranet sites. 1.Without andpoint the certificate seems valid. 2.Up to the latest version of endpoint v6 the certificate works and seems valid in both chrome and firefox. 3.When we installed the new version of endpoint v7 (7.0.2073.1) the certificates seems invalid in both chrome and firefox. Please advice. Thanks, Peter

Blank Problem field in alerts
pps replied to pps's topic in ESET PROTECT On-prem (Remote Management)
Marcos this workstation has ESET Security Products: ESET Endpoint Security 6.6.2078.5 ESET Remote Administrator Agent 6.5.522.0 -
Description : More detailed problem alerts Detail: No problem description on problem alerts, (see screenshot below), it's the second or the third time that the same thing happens.
-
Description : Show website web control category/categories when a page is blocked Detail: Users should know when a page is blocked to which category is categorized. Also is good to have an option from inside the block page to redirect to another page (for example a ticketing system) or report this page to directly to eset in the case of a false positive/miscategorization.

Hello Marcos, Yes it is but before 6.6.2078.5 I was able to pause it and the firewall policy hasn't change till 6.6.2052. And I cannot left this setting unlock because then the users will be able to close the firewall on their own.

Hello, In the last version of endpoint security 6.6.2078.5 when I click the "pause firewall (allow all traffic) " there is no prompt for admin credentials and I cannot pause the firewall. This issue reproduced in all workstations that I tried (more than 6). "Block all network traffic" button has the same behavior also. Thanks, Peter

Hello kingoftheworld there are options only for computer extinction not for disabled ones: • Computer extinction handling - If a computer no longer exists, you can either Remove this computer or Skip it. • Group extinction handling - If a group no longer exists, you can either Remove this group or Skip it.

ESET Endpoint Security 7 BETA signup
pps replied to Peter Randziak's topic in ESET Beta Products for Business Users
Hello, IS registration still open? Thanks, Peter -
It's not what I mean but that could be useful too if it's implemented in some way. My request is focused in the changes made locally by hand in each workstation and not centrally through ERA Console. Now the team has one password to login to endpoint advanced Setup and we can't trace who pauses the firewall or who deactivates the web control. Is it possible for each user that has access to ERA Console to have a separate password for login to workstations into the Advanced Setup?
-
Description: More than one password for Accessing the Advanced setup Detail: Is it possible to have more than one passwords (one password per admin user) so when someone turns off or pauses some ESET protection module then in the ERA console ALERTS you can identify next of each problem which of the admin users has stopped the protection.
-
Description: customize the colors of warnings & errors depending on the type of the error or warning Detail: there should be a different color on each type of warning and error. For example if the operating system is out of date or the eset endpoint is out of date you get the same orange color. Users should be able to distinguish by color and also sort by color
-
Description: Inside the Advanced Setup the admin should be able to disable even locked (not editable) options Detail: If in the policy the web control module Integrate into system is set "Setting won't be set by this policy" then all users can disable the web control in the other hand if the integrate into system is set to "Setting is set by this policy" no user can disable the web control but also no admin with access to Advanced setup. Most times laptops are outside the organization and it's no connection between ERA and them so we can make this settings editable.

100% Read Hard Disk utilization on eScan dat Log files
pps replied to pps's topic in ESET Endpoint Products
Hello Marcos, Thanks for the prompt reply. The problem is not on the dat files in the eScan folder but eset that stills using them by reading them non stop. The difficulty is that there is no way to tell for this issue before the user reports the slowdown in his workstation and also it is time consuming to inspect all the workstations one by one if the dat files exist in the Logs folder. There is some option from inside ERA console that clear automatically this log files? Is there any option to stop eset from using this files (on demand logging is disabled), if yes what will be the drawbacks? PS: It seems that the eScan folder is used not by the antivirus but from the firewall ( I cannot rename it until I passed the firewall) Thanks, Peter
