10.1.210 was already built and being tested when the missing Pause protection option was fixed. It will be fixed in the next hotfix 10.1.X release.
you mean it will be an in-product update? i hope it actually updates because from my past experience, NOD32's built in updater never works or is always delayed.
Any ETA on this?

@Phoenix, have you read that
yes, but release the new update already!

Phoenix, I feel that move could be a bit hasty. The pause protection option from the tray icon could well return when the next version of NOD32 is released.
alright, I'm just frustrated man, I have perfection OCD and something feels not right

Just bought a McAfee AntiVirus Plus license after getting tired of ESET and their slow updates to their buggy products.

Thanks for pointing that out, I'd forgotten that I have the pre-release update turned on. My apologies for misleading some of you.
I have had that update setting turned on for years now and never even think about it, in fact this is the first time I've ever received a full programme update through,it's normally just updated modules.
That explains it the, do you now have the pause protection when you right click on the ESET Icon or it's still not there?

Well surely in those 10+ years you will have seen similar posts in the past where an in product upgrade was not available, but it was available via the offline installer. Or where the update was available at eset.com , but not available at eset.co.uk , or one of the other regional sites.
I was only offering a bit of help to ALL the users in the forum and not looking to insult anyone.
I understand, and I know that, but the point is, it's not available on the Middle East, US, or UK site, I checked, and NOT available as an inproduct upgrade. I don't know how the OP got it. I don't like this waves roll out update that ESET does. If one gets it, everyone should, especially when it's really needed as the current version has a major bug (to me at least) where you can't easily pause protection if you need to.

You should be able to get it using the advanced download options on ESET homepage
duhh I know how to do that, been using ESET products for more than 10 years. It's not there

Yes that is a bit sloppy, going back around 50 years when I was at school I would have been told " A lack of attention to detail"
Well I just installed it using the ESET Downloader and it still installed the old version and no update offered to the version you mentioned. Classical ESET Swiss Cheese!

about time! Still the online installer says v10.1.204.0

So my computer's name is TITAN
Before formatting, I ensure that I uninstall NOD32, now when I installed NOD32 again, it has named my PC TITAN-1 rather than TITAN like it did before
Is there a way to access some kind of console to deactivate that PC so the next time I install it, it gives it the name without that number?
I would also like to ensure that ESET is not thinking I am using my license on more PCs that I am as that what that names -1 makes me feel that it's thinking
-
Right, thanks guys

Let's say I wanna gift a license, how can I buy a license using my PayPal but gift it to someone and not have it automatically renew? as in, no traces of my payment method/source, just a 1 or 2 year license one time purchase registered to that guy's email not my payment email

Please make a black theme for the GUI to match the Windows 10 Dark mode theme in PC Settings
-
oh ok, then I'll keep it enabled. Thanks

I selected to enable PUP detections during setup but why is that setting not enabled by default? how is it different than the PUP detections? Is there any reason why I shouldn't enable it? like does it cause any OS slowdowns or have any adverse effects? since it's not enabled by default, this leaves me puzzled

Hibernation means the computer is fully shutdown albeit the current state is saved to the hiberfile.sys so when you startup your computer, everything that you had opened is still there as if you didn't shutdown. So ESET has nothing to do with that and it certainly won't do anything when the computer is hibernated, it's fully OFF anyway

Marcos,
Do you mean it's a bug that the pause protection has been removed from the right-click menu? It is not clear what you mean.
DrT
yes that's what he meant
-
yeah and if you check from program updates, you no longer see it checking for updates then telling you that's the latest version, you just see the update tab on the left pane with a little dot bouncing, this is one buggy version, and they removed the right click context menu to pause protection
-
Anyone from the ESET team care to reply to this concern? This is very annoying it takes so many steps to disable protection temporarily. I update my drivers a lot and prefer to have my AV disabled while I am installing the new driver to ensure 100% proper installation!

In the latest version of NOD32 now there is no pause protection when you right click on the EAV icon. please report this to the developers to bring it back

Just heard about GlassWire and it seems interesting. Can I run it with NOD32 or are there any conflicts?
