killermannnnn 0 Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 I have installed latest version of NOD32 about 3 week ago. Since then It uses a lot or RAM, currently it is 399MB. This is a lot because I have onlu 2GB in my computer. I aslo noticed that NOD32 slows my firefox (especially when I am watching videos). Is that RAM usage normal for this version? P.S.: I am running on Windows XP.
Administrators Marcos 5,469 Posted November 12, 2015 Administrators Posted November 12, 2015 No, a standard memory usage is 100-150 MB for ekrn.exe. Would it be possible for you to create a complete application dump of ekrn.exe? To create one, please download Procdump from https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/dd996900.aspx. Then run "procdump -ma ekrn" from the command prompt run with elevated admin rights. When done, compress the dump, upload it to a safe location and pm me the download link.
killermannnnn 0 Posted November 13, 2015 Author Posted November 13, 2015 I've sent you PM. During the dump ekrn.exe usage increased to 545MB.
killermannnnn 0 Posted November 28, 2015 Author Posted November 28, 2015 (edited) I've noticed that the memory usage of my eset went down to 150 MB few days after I've send you the memory dump but the usage is very high again. Now it uses 767MB of RAM... Was earlier problem fixed or is it still in progress? Edited November 28, 2015 by killermannnnn
