khakkinen 0
Good afternoon everyone, My version of ESET Smart Security 8 updated last night and since the update, I have been getting this error when I try to change anything: "Failed to Change Settings" Every setting I try and change (Firewall Mode, Anti-Stealth, anything) comes up with this error. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling ESS multipul times, have run the automatic ESS remover, all to no avail. I have also attempted to disable anti-tampering to no avail. It seems, however, that when it comes up with that error, it does actually make the change except for when creating a firewall rule. OS: Windows 8.1 x64 Account Type: Single Account connected to a Microsoft Account. Do connect remotly to the computer via teamviewer. Any idea what could be causing it? Thanks, Karl
Administrators Marcos 5,412 Posted May 17, 2015 Administrators Share Posted May 17, 2015 We'd need to check a Process monitor log from that situation. Perhaps the best course of action would be contacting Customer care.
