The background is that we want to enforce a policy to scan all devices upon connection, and this is possible. However, we have noticed that there is no option to exclude CD/DVD media from scanning - in our case, this is problematic because the discs used by employees contain a huge number of small image files, and the scanning process heavily burdens the drive and takes a very long time (up to an hour). Is there a way to work around this problem? Do you plan to implement differentiated scanning for different media segments (CD/USB) in the future? Is there a possibility to add an exception rule for the antivirus scanner that would simply exclude certain paths (files, folders, or extensions) from media scanning?
