Difference between tasks in Scheduler

Recommended Posts

Hello.

I have the tasks shown in the screenshot in the Scheduler of the main policy of our organisation.
As you can see, I have two different Update tasks. Both of them are enabled by default.

Can you explain me if both of them are needed?
I mean, if we have a regular automatic update every morning, what is the point of having one more task for update?

Moreover, if a PC turns on in the morning, will both of these update tasks run simultaneously?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

Hello,

Per my understanding, the difference of the tasks could be related to Module updates and Agent update.Or it's doing the same update check just on different intervals. You can leave only the Regular automatic update on which should also cover the User logon task.

You can enable the update task after user logon if you log on and off frequently during the day and want to make sure that the latest updates are installed when you or somebody else logs on.
