gilad 0
when i try to download ngrok, either by exe or chocolatey, i see that eset quarantines the exe file and deletes it. it happens with new installations, even when downloading the zip, after looking in it without unzipping, the file is removed. chocolatey fails since the file is removed in the middle. Even after setting the path as a path that shouldn't be touched, i see that after a scan the file is removed. is there a real problem with ngrok? or is it a false positive? If so, can you remove it from your blacklist? I know for a fact that this is happening on more than 1 computer. thank you
Administrators Solution Marcos 5,259 Posted February 23 Administrators Solution Share Posted February 23 If it's detected as WinGo/Ngrok potentially unsafe application, you can create a detection exclusion based on the detection name.
Russ Savage 0
Hi, PM from ngrok here. I am in the process of submitting our binaries to be whitelisted using the info from https://support.eset.com/en/kb3345-how-do-i-whitelist-my-software-with-eset

Leon0815 0
We still have this issue. Could you please submit new files for whitelisting? WinGo/Ngrok.B occurred 19th + 25th March Windows + Mac

The detection / classification as PUA is correct. Did you create a detection exclusion as suggested above?
Leon0815 0
We do not want to create exclusions, as a true positive detection could occur in a malware scenario.
