Administrators Marcos 5,307 Posted December 1, 2023 Administrators Share Posted December 1, 2023 Firewall is disabled only if you install ESET Endpoint Security while being connected to the machine via RDP. You can either click Enable firewall if you are sure that it's configured properly and won't terminate your RDP session, or install Endpoint while not being connected to the machine via RDP. Administrators Marcos 5,307 Posted December 1, 2023 Administrators Share Posted December 1, 2023 Frankly it is not clear to me what you want to disable. Do you want to keep the ESET firewall disabled and just hide the notification? Or you want to enable the ESET firewall and use it instead of the Windows firewall? Mark-Deo 0
let me try to explain it more, I've 2 policies on ESET protect portal okay, when i place my laptop in a group with Policy X it gives me the attention required firewall is disabled, however when I move the laptop to another group with the second policy Y it doesn't give me the same warning, the ESET firewall is disabled on both policies tho, i just wanted to know why it doesn't give me the same attention in the second group and how can i keep eset firewall disabled and just hide the warning/notification. i hope that you get me this time
Administrators Marcos 5,307 Posted December 1, 2023 Administrators Share Posted December 1, 2023 Please raise a support ticket, it's not a normal situation and the policy that triggers the "firewall disabled" application status will need to be thoroughly checked. It should be triggered only after manual installation of ESET Endpoint Security during an RDP session.
