Duncan 0
Hi I have just installed " ESET Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange Server " It's on an Exchange 2013 box, and I was looking at the remote admin console. Is there anything extra I can use that's worth me installing this? I was going to pop it onto a print server that only has a couple of low use printers installed. I noticed that it like to use Apache, is that part of the install, or do I need to install that seperatly. Does it require SQL, if so can I use express? Thanks for your help Regards Duncan
Administrators Marcos 4,704 Posted January 20, 2017 Administrators Share Posted January 20, 2017 Apache is either used as an HTTP proxy server (it's part of the ERA all-in-one installer) or as an http server for distributing updates downloaded by the Mirror tool. If you have only a handful of machines, you don't need to use Apache at all and you'll probably download updates directly from ESET's servers. SQL Server is used by ESET Remote Administrator. If you don't use it, you don't have to care about it.
