  4. - During the weekend virusradar.com was off line (hxxp://www.virusradar.com/en/update/info) - Once on line the weekend updates were added but the date is not correct - It's right now impossible to download the updates 14295, 14296 and 14297
  5. Extra traffic to ESET servers Dimulec wrote: "I have both versions - V8 on my desktop and V9 on the laptop. According to the NetFlow statistic collected from my router V9 sends a lot more data back to ESET servers. I have all related options disabled but still there is traffic. I don't know what it sends and this bothers me. That is why I don't want to update to V9 on the computer that has a lot of sensitive info." link: https://forum.eset.com/topic/9078-how-to-disable-upgrade-splash-screen/
  6. I'm back to version 8.0.319.1 again. - Nicer lay out - Runs lighter on my old pc - I don't like the extra data traffic to ESET servers - In 8 it's very easy to see the last scan date I guess I'm not alone in this. 10.0.337.1 has already an update: 10.0.359.1 What's the changelog?
  7. All I can say is WOW!!! My wife came home, I didn't notice, I see her Samsung appear on the network... Also modem protection!
  8. Where can I download Eset 8.0.319.0? Go the Eset download page Choose: Advanced download Choose other product version Click on version and choose Eset 8 Choose your operation system, 32 bit or 64 bit Choose your language Download ESETUninstaller if you can't find it Google for it (I use version 7.0.7.0). Uninstall Eset 9.0 Restart your computer Restart your computer after that in the safe mode (type MSCONFIG in the search function) Run ESET Uninstaller Restart your computer in the normal mode Install Eset 8.0 (attention: Eset wants to download the latest version, so not too fast here...) At this point (after installation) I had to restart twice to let all the functions in Eset work (the updates came in 2 parts). This is how it worked for me. Good luck and keep us posted!
  9. 5) I like the lay out of Eset 8 very much. I don't like the lay out of Eset 9.
  10. Yes there are: 1) In 8 it it's very easy to see the last scan date, scan time and used virus definitions. The info doesn't disappear. 2) Eset 8 is much lighter and is running faster. 3) Eset 9 is sending a lot more information back, why, what information are you downloading from my computer? 4) I tried safe banking on a 64 bits lap-top with Mozilla Firefox but it blocked. It only would run using Explorer but that's not my browser...
  11. Yes, it's bizarre. My postings are also unanswered.
  12. Back from 9.0.386.1. In 8 It is also very easy to see the last scan date, scan time and used virus definitions. The info doesn't disappear. I use windows 10 with O&O ShutUp10 (recommended settings) on an 8 years old 32 bit computer.
  13. Am I the only one? Just love that light running program. Greetings from the Netherlands.
  14. I am very sorry but these updates are missing right now: 13938 (another one) 13929 Is this how Eset works these days?
  15. Update Info has stopped again. From time to time updates are missing. for example 13929. Link: hxxp://www.virusradar.com/en/update/info/2016/0
  16. Problems mentioned in this thread are on W7 systems. Nothing to do with W10. Wrong! I use 8.1 and also have these problems.
  17. I'm also back to eset 8. Why? Because I don't want my computer to slow down. I am now waiting for Eset 9 SP1...
