  1. Yes, the BenQ Display Pilot manages the screen and the space. I've noticed that I can now manage space and select a location where to place an app. Ex: place Outlook on left half of screen or maybe upper right corner, etc. I installed it shortly after installing the monitor. I was logging off and back on as I was making minor Win7 OS changes like the color being displayed in the Explorer window. White to light grey. I noticed the changes weren't taking place so I was logging off and back on. Change still wasn't fully taking affect. I also noticed that pop up windows for an open app were opening up behind the app instead of in front. I best check the BenQ site for an update to this Display Pilot app I installed.

  2. When I login to Windows 7 ESS switches on Gaming Mode and I also see the monitor to flash. If I disable Gaming Mode the problem stops although the flashing seems to stop after about 4 flashes. This is the BenQ 3200PT. I don't know why the monitor itself would be the issue but I will say that I did install the BenQ Display Pilot which gives you access to the monitor's OSD via Windows. But every time I logoff and back on this happens.

(not sure what happened to the header for this topic. Some caps became lower case and vice versa. Odd)

Edit: I completed the manual update to  7.0.317.4. Problem still exists.

  3. I see an article popped up about stores tracking you via WiFi. Not specifically as they can only do it via a MAC address and not know your specific MAC address on your phone. Is this something EMS has a function for? I know they have (or had) a feature tied to WiFi but my experience has been it's all or nothing. You don't have the ability to built a list of approved WiFi spots and then not connect to others. Or did this get updated and I didn't know it? (actually I'm not seeing it now... I have v2.0.843.0-0)

Side note: one possible short coming of the tracking would be I would think you'd need to connect to the WAP first and in many cases you have to click on a submit button to agree and connect to the WAP.

  4. Yes it's worth the jump, the few kinks that needed to be worked out has been worked out in my experience. This build is great, fast, and stable. :)

I am not sure what reviews you are looking for though?

And if you have been happy with V6 then I believe you'll be just as happy with V7 too.

If anyone has read/seen anything good on the web about v7 or personal feedback/review.  Always suprised to see Eset come up about mid level in comparison charts on what I see. But yet I have had few issues with the software itself and nothing on my PC for about the past 5 years or so. I can get NIS (current version) through Comcast for free but haven't bothered.

  5.

How is v7 comparing to v6.  Been happy with v6 and actually just installed it this past summer. Is it worth the jump or wait for some kinks to get worked out?

    Thanks..

Deal breaker if you own an Asus RT-AC66U (or quite possibly an Asus RT-AC68U or a RT-N66U)

    Interesting. I have the RT-AC66R.
