    ESET Smart Security crashing Windows 10 Anniversary Update (Build 1607)

    I don't know if ESET is causing this but I have a problem with the 1067 update now for a week or so.  Update loads up but will not or can not install them.  Kind of holds my computer hostage as it keeps uploading but not installing.  KOR-

     

    Adding:  My Wi-Fi connection is also dropping and perhaps because of Windows trying to update.  Don't know but thought I would mention it.  KOR-

    You should see a message that the settings are managed by ESET Smart Security:

    As to firewall issues I mentioned yesterday.  I NO LONGER see the graphic as attached.  I no longer see ESET as security but I see a graphic that asks me to turn on Windows Security Center Service.  The system will not let me turn on this security and so what to do?  Any suggestions?  KOR-

    Hey everyone.  Been many many years with ESET and I don't know if ESET has any involvement with a current problem I am having, but maybe someone can shed some light on this. 

     

    Windows 10 here and ESET 9.0.381.0.  

     

    I have found the updates are not all installing and I found that Microsoft seems to want the Windows firewall to be running in order to install some updates. At least that seems to be part of the problem.

     

    What I am asking is anyone else or did anyone else have this problem with the last Windows update?

    V9 Secure Browser Issues

    I guess no one else is having this problem. ESET responded to my ticket and said they did not find a problem.  Again, I experience the problem only with IE and only with PayPal.  FireFox works with both my bank and PayPal.   IE stops working when I go into PayPal using the secure browser, and a notice comes up that shows a process of trying to resolve.  The end result is to close IE as it can not connect with the PayPal severs.  Best I can explain it.

    Checking to see if anyone else is having a problem with the secure browser, Internet Explore and PayPal.

     

    I have turned in a ticket so the techs will check it out.

     

    I can not use the secure browser for PayPal but can use it to get to my bank.

     

    It is only with Internet Explorer and FireFox works.
