  1. Can you buy the product in a local store? Here in Texas I wait until my local Fry's Electronics has a sale on Eset. For the last 3 years I have purchased a 3 computer 1 year license for $19.99. This way Eset does not have my credit card info and I do not have to jump through hoops to get auto renewal turned off. Just a suggestion.
  2. I don't trust MSE. I'll keep using Eset and only run MB as an on demand scanner. To each his own I guess.
  3. I also turned off the paid version of MB. Too many problems. I only use it as an on demand scanner now.
  4. There doesn't appear to be anything wrong when I do updates. That last one I did was a manual on at 1:51pm central time right after I read your posts. Updated just fine.
  5. Windows 10 64bit. I solved the problem by finding the newest .exe file and installed it manually. Everything is fine now.
  6. I am getting the same error message with Eset trying to update the program version. My virus updates are fine. But the same error is now showing under program update. Starting to get real tired of the error messages while trying to update to version 11. If I try it manually it says my version is up to date. But I am not. I'm about to get rid of Eset but I am paid up till August.
  7. It was still cheaper for me to buy at Fry's. I only wanted the antivirus product. Eset is $59.99 for 3 devices and 1 year. Fry's was $19.99. I didn't see any coupon on that Eset page for what I wanted. I'll take the 8 days lost at my savings of $40
  8. In my case it was much cheaper to buy a new copy at Frys than it was to renew my copy through Eset. I lost 8 days but I only paid less than half of what Eset wanted for a renewal on their website.
  9. I just did this same thing after buying a new copy at Fry's. Make sure you install your new license code on the day that your old code expires. I entered mine thinking it would expand the license another year from my expiration date. But it started the 1 year from the date I put in the new license key. I lost 8 days in doing so. So wait until Your current license is expiring.
  10. I sure do. Just upgraded before I posted my prior message.
  11. I have the latest Eset Nod 32 antivirus installed on my Win 10 Pro computer and I still have the pause protection option. I just right click on my icon in my taskbar and it's right there. Left click on pause protection and a pop up comes up and asks me how long I want to disable protection. I upgraded from version 9 and did not do clean install of 10. Just an in place upgrade from version 9. Not sure why so many people are not seeing the option.
  12. What operating system do you use? Unlike newer Windows, on Windows XP 2 restarts are needed after upgrade to v9.0.402. Windows 10 Pro. It took 3 reboots but all is well now.
  13. I am running 9.0.386.0. I just clicked on update and it said that 9.0.402 is now available. I clicked on update and Eset downloaded something. My version number then stayed at 9.0.386.0 and now update says that I have the most current version. My definition updates have not updated since 8/12/16. I just signed up for a year of Eset. I am now thinking that this was a mistake. It seems every time there is an update there is something else broken. Please fix this problem as I do not want to be an Eset beta tester for the next year. Edit: After the 3rd reboot of my computer Eset now shows that I am running the most recent version. The definition updates also show current. If anyone else experiences this problem try rebooting several times. We shouldn't have to do this but hey it worked.
