I've finally got BPP working with FF 61.0.2. I've no idea what fixed it, apart from playing around with FF.

If you open an Internet banking website, you are not redirected to a secure browser?
No, the only way to get a secure firefox browser is to set FF as the default browser and launch the ESET Banking & Payment protection shortcut.

EIS 11.2.49.0Is banking and payment protection compatible with Firefox 61? IE 11 works fine but firefox doesn't work for me.

In connected home monitor in early versions it would show what was connected monthly. But now with Version 11.2.49.0 when I shut down my computer for the night and turn it on the next day it does not show what was connected this month. it just shows connected recently. Was there a change in this.
There's definitely a bug in Connected Home Monitor. Devices listed in "Connected this month" are lost when the system is rebooted.

Pico updates have finally resumed, so all is well.

What has happened to the pico updates? I've not received any in the last four days.

Run the ESET Uninstall Tool in safe mode.

You need to remove all the leftovers from Qihoo Total Security.
Run Autoruns (as admin) and when it has finished scanning scroll down until you see the publisher as Qihu/Qihoo 360.
Go to the file that the autoruns entry points to and delete the file. Then right click on the Autoruns entry and delete.note: You may need to do this in safe mode.
-
Download Autoruns and extract the zip to its own directory.
Run Autoruns as Administrator. Once it starts, press the Esc key and configure as follows:
- Under Options, make sure everything is unchecked except for 'Hide Empty Locations'
- Under Options -> Scan Options, make sure that 'Verify code signatures' is checked.
- Press Refresh (F5) to restart the scan.
When it has finished, Save the log (Ctrl+S) as the default Autoruns data type (*.arn)
Zip the log and attach to your next post. -
Boot the computer into safe mode.
- Change ESET Service startup type to Automatic.
- Check the Recovery tab and ensure all failure actions are set to "Restart the Service".
- Reboot

Here is the HIPS record for the "error" that occurs during the boot process:
C:\Windows\System32\services.exe;Modify registry;HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\services\ekrn\FailureActions;blocked;Self-Defense: Registry with full protection;

Does temporarily disabling Self-defense and rebooting the machine makes a difference?
Yes, with Self-defense disabled the error is not present.

Are they safe for example on a metered connection
Yes, each pico update is less than 1 KB. Currently there are 10 pico updates since the last engine update.

The ScRegSetValueExW error is a by-product of ESET's Self-Defense and causes no problems.
-
Run the ESET uninstall tool in safe mode.

The memory usage by pwm.exe is usually in the range 110,000 to 120,000 K. I've no idea why it's that high, but your usage is typical of the process.

Select advanced download and you'll be able to download the offline installer for ESET Internet Security (the same thing as ESET Smart Security)

An ask or deny rule for Direct access to disk is never triggered. It used to alert when overwriting the MBR etc, but not anymore.

The security report frequently sets the statistical data to zero across all categories. In the attached picture, all the flat spots are zero.
