Anomaly With Adding ESET Mobile Security to an Android Device

I am a newbie.  Yesterday, I purchased a 2-year subscription to ESET Smart Security Premium for four seats. I have been using PCs since 1988 and have used many AV products at home and at work over the years.

I have two Windows 11 Dell XPS computers, a desktop and a laptop, and I have two Samsung Galaxy phones (an older S7 and an S21).  I removed my former K Premium AV product on both computers and successfully installed ESET on both.  They showed up in my ESET Account.

My primary S21 phone does not have the email program with which I registered ESET, but it does have Gmail, so I downloaded ESET Mobile Security from the Google Play Store, and it grabbed my Gmail address.  I then linked it to what I thought was my account, but it never showed up as active on my ESET Home account, though the S21 ESET Mobile Security app was reporting it was activated and showed the proper number of days remaining.  Both the registration email ID name and the Gmail ID name are the same ID.  That was all yesterday.

Today, I fired up my old S7 to add ESET Mobile Security to it, but this time I logged in first to my ESET account and requested it send me "Add Another Device" email.  ESET did so.  I added ESET Mobile Security to the S7 using that email from ESET.  It showed up, so three of my four seats were shown as protected on my ESET Home account.

I was tempted to contact ESET Support, but I wanted to try and see if I could properly add my S21 to my ESET Home account, so I "disconnected" the S21 from the Gmail account and reconnected it to my registration email account.  All went well.  Four seats of the four seats are now shown as protected.

I am not sure what happened, but perhaps there is an issue with ESET allowing a seat to be taken under those circumstances that should be addressed.

In conclusion, I am really impressed with ESET.  It detected a "sleeper" PUP buried in an installation executable that both BD and K had missed for ten years!
