I get an error code that even ESET isn't familiar with, please help

Hello. This issue is with the free version of the ESET Mobile Security and Antivirus app from the Amazon Appstore.

I've had this app on my device (Amazon Fire tablet) for a while and I kept it after the free 30 day trial. I lost the app today because I had to do a factory reset on my tablet. I reinstalled the app from my Amazon Appstore Cloud Library. After opening the ESET app it brought me to a set-up screen, it asked for an email address to be entered. When I entered my address and clicked next it brought me to this message:

Communication Failed
Activation error (542199850)

I have spoken with ESET customer service and the error code number above could not be found in their system. They don't know what it means and suggested that maybe it's a bug, or maybe they don't allow reinstalls of free trials more than once on the same tablet. No definitive answer was given for my issue.

It was suggested I try downloading it from Google Playstore. Not sure I can do that as Amazon doesn't support Google Appstore.

I deleted the app from the Cloud, uninstalled and reinstalled it many times from Amazon, deleted app data and cache, restarted my tablet and even entered different email addresses to no avail. The same error message occurs.
