  1. It's the same computer, so ho hardware change. It was also not listed under that device name in my account. The +1 was just added for 'no particular' reason, besides that it was already once registered. (I left all other currently registered devices in my account, because if i remove them I have to log in on each of them to connect to my account once more...) EDIT: For some reason I was able to rename the device back to its original name. Maybe ESET servers took a night to 'reset' the (current) state. Fixed!
  2. After reinstalled ESET on my device, the device name in my ESET account has been added by a number. The device name was: COMPUTER And now has been renamed to: COMPUTER-1 Is there a way to delete this -1 and have my computer name be the same as it on my ESET account? I cannot find this somewhere on my account and device names. For some reason it looks like ESET is keeping track of removed devices, that are to be added on the same account with the same device.
  3. At the end of the day I couldn't justify the pricing for ESET HOME Security Ultimate, and extended with a 2 year license of Premium. However, I noticed that the program itself it not 'renamed' to ESET HOME Security Premium, but still shows the 'old' name of ESET Smart Security Premium. Is this correct? I even uninstalled, and reinstalled via the "Protect this device" on my account, but still no 'new' naming. See screenshots.

Like I said, since the price difference is quite huge (double the pricing)... will more & new features be added - besides the current ones - only to the Ultimate version within 2 years (the subscription period)? And if so, is already known which updates/upgrades are added? [or which way Ultimate will develop into?]
  5. You mean a different VPN other than the build-in one of the HS Ultimate? (e.g. ProtonVPN, NordVPN and alike?) Or can an ESET VPN be purchased separately?
  6. For now I need 6 licenses. VPN not really necessary for all machines, maybe 1 or 2. So the question remains if "Metadata Cleanup for enhanced privacy" & "Block unwanted website notifications" are worth double the pricing, but I guess not. Also given the fact that I use an adblocker & privacy badger. Right?

When comparing ESET HSP and HSU I only see that the Ultimate version offers more: - Metadata Cleanup for enhanced privacy - Block unwanted website notifications - Unlimited VPN ...but is almost twice the price Do you guys think these three extra features are worth it? Or will new features to Ultimate be released in upcoming updates/upgrades? [which makes it more the 'better' choice in the long term?!]
  8. Still I'm having this issue. Even with the newly 17-version of ESET Smart Premium 17.0.16.0. A hard reboot will fix it most of the time, but this cannot/shouldnot be the 'solution' to this issue, right? As stated earlier, I don't have it on my other system. The difference in specs is that the machine this message is displayed has an AMD Ryzen 4000 series CPU, and the 'working one' an Intel 9th gen CPU, plus also some other hardware differences like build in GPU (AMD system) vs GeForce 2000 series/Intel UHD Graphics 630 (Intel system). Both notebooks are from ASUS.
  9. 2nd time already/again today. Logs are created for the second time. Where can I send them to?
  10. After some time... the Service Servers are being put on/online again and the message disappears [at least after the log collection]. But also after a restart of Windows 11 everything's back to normal.
  11. This just happened (and not on my other notebook) Q: Are you able to reproduce the error at any time, e.g. after a computer restart? A: Only after a (hibernate), relogin in Windows after like 30-60 mins Q: Does the machine connect to the Internet directly or through a proxy? A: Directly to internet, no proxy [as far as I know] Q: Is the machine behind a firewall? A: Not a hardware-based firewall. Just the ESET application.
  12. I have this message on and off for the past 4-6 months. Only on 1 device though. Other devices I run ESET on don't have this issue. It's not OS dependent, because at least in two cases each notebook has Windows 11 23H2 installed [one with this error, the other not]. The message pops up mostly when it's coming out of idle stage. And sometimes a (simple) restart will also do [though not how it should be] It happend with different (sub)versions of ESET Internet Security v16. Now also with ESET Smart Security Premium 17.0.15.0 Any idea what can be the cause of this?
  13. And the 'older' (non-extended) licenses (such as Internet Security and Smart Security Premium) will remain as is - with those feats included at purchase? No "upgrade" in license, terms, producy name and/or additional features?
  14. The "Progress. Protected." in Google Chrome still remains and doesn't launch itself/(still) hangs. Edge I don't use. Firefox is working. Strange why Brave (and maybe other Chromium-alternatives) are not working. The 'base' (Chromium) is the same, right?
  15. Wasn't this previously (16-version and earlier): NOD Antivirus, ESET Internet Security and ESET Smart Security Premium?
  16. Am I correct that the 'ESET Security Ultimate' used to be Smart Security Premium? And HS Premium 'ESET Internet Security' Also, the name giving has changed from Internet Security to Home Security, right?
  17. The screenshot is from Brave. It got installed mentioning there is a new extension available from within the browser itself, and I could just use that. Same with Google Chrome. Both browsers use the Chromium engine. I have created three screenshots from this extension from each different browser. In all browsers though the extension can be run. Firefox seems to be working.
  18. With the 17.0.15.0 major ESET-update came the ESET Browser Privacy & Security extension installed for browsers. Currently, this extension is nof fully running and working on both Brave Browser, Google Chrome and Firefox. Are these start-up hickups from this new tooling/extenstion in the new ESET-version?
