There are mixed multiple layers and features, to clarify them:

    • ESET Browser Privacy & Security = browser extension with privacy and security features for visited websites and user data/settings
    • Safe Banking & Browsing = protected browser that allows you to run isolated browser instance from desktop shortcut, or protect existing browser when Secure all browsers setting is On

Regarding to blocked file, wait 1-2 days for ESSP 17.1 update where you will have a possibility to manually allow blocked file on your own. When you trust your vendor that inject that file to your browser, you will be able to allow it. Of course such action may brings browser unstability, but when something goes wrong, you will know what products are in conflict, how did you do that and how to restore it back.

Worked like a charm adding the exceptions to the browser protection, Thanks!!

Since Eset's Browser Privacy & Security feature is alerting about this .dll, I assume its attempting to perform one or more of the above activities against your browser.

Correct as it Monitors for the installation of any software, As far as manipulate or log keyboard and mouse I have not seen that from it.
After install of a software package you can then see what registry changes or additions were made as well as files changed or added or removed.
It basically does what systracer, Revo Uninstaller and may other programs do w/o the need to log each install.

It seems being based on reputation that since not many have used it, It will automatically be blocked.

Would be nice to have a way of unblocking a file that was tagged by reputation as unsafe.

It could be that only some ISPs are having connectivity issues with our servers since the US servers have been up and running and @itman from the US doesn't have any such issues.

    Please carry on as follows:

    1. Enable advanced logging under Help and support -> Technical support \
    2. Reboot the machine
    3. Reproduce the issue
    4. Stop logging
    5. Collect logs with ESET Log Collector and upload the generated archive here (only the ESET staff can access attachments).

Now it is connected to liveguard again, It is connecting and disconnecting at intervals.

    Now it is disconnected again.

    Relise: 16.2.15.0

    • New: Redesigned advanced setup Web and email section (new Protections section created)
    • New: Redesigned firewall
    • New: Onboarding wizard
    • Bugfixing and other improvements
      - Updated: License expiration wording
      - New: Uninstall survey

Hmmm looks like they need to fix the What's New on the help and support link in the help and support module as it still shows what I posted a image of.

But thanks for clearing this up!!

Not Marcos statement but the  issues all of us have had with the interactive side of things and how it didn't work. I know I had the list populated of what I wanted to allow and deny and after upgrading I had to start from scratch as the popup window that asks would not work then it would ask for items that were already in the list.

Please provide more information about what issues you've had with v16.2.13. As far as I know, there are no known bugs unlike in older versions.

I may have used the incorrect terminology and I am referring functions & settings being removed on the version newer then 16.1.14.
I am guessing ESET will say that 16.2.11 was released and functioning as intended  but that does not mean it fulfills the needs of the masses.
Was there any feedback from users before settings were removed or how did the developers come to the conclusion that removing settings was a good idea?

  7. Hi,

Being  that those of us that have a ESET product for security purposes and being that we paid for a product that should function correctly why is it you cannot take 16.1.14 and rename it and call it 16.2.15?

That way we all get back a fully functioning version of the software we purchased and then spend the time developing that mess that was released when it shouldn't have been?

In past message you say this will be addressed later this year but do you really feel that is the correct path to making sure your clients have a proper functioning  security program? Reuse the product you already know to  be stable and  offer the features the customers were happy with.

    Newer is not always better.
