  1. Hi dears,

    We want to create ep6 update file for our offline clients that have Endpoint 6.5 but the mirror tools show a problem with creating files.

    The miror tools works find with 6.6 update srevers:

     

    The commnad is :

    MirrorTool.exe --mirrorType regular --updateServer hxxp://91.228.166.16/eset_upd/ep6 --intermediateUpdateDirectory c:\mirror\tempv6 --offlineLicenseFilename c:\mirror\lic.lf --outputDirectory C:\nginx\html\eset_upd\ep6

     

    Error is :

    Error: Perform full mirror failed with error: Unidentified server response. Error code is: 8450
    Error occured.

    Yes As you said if we set Agent to use an account it will access the share foldres but forexamle you have 30 system in Workgroup you must do it one by one or you must use ESET Repository.

     

    We think that may be ESET Agent can use Network service account to solve this problem while it is installing the service.

     

    So manualyy solitions will solve the permision error as you said.

  3. We have this problem in workgroup invirement and in workgroup we do not have "Domain Computers" ,

     

    The problem is Local system accounts can not access shared folders even when they are accessible with every one with full permisions.

     

    ESET Agent is uning Local system account and local system account can not access share folder in another machine. So we must use domian or we must set a account for every client's agent !

     

    Any Idea in workgroup networks ?

    during the "Components Upgrade task " the proxy server setting is not taken from the agent's settings.

    So in V6 , the network that is using proxy and have not direct internet , They can not use component upgrade task. :wacko:

    They must upgarde agent manulally or with orher deploy solutions.

     

    I think it is a bug and why when all compunication is established via proxy setting , Upgarde did not use it !

    Are you agree with me or not ?

     

    I think ESET must correct it in next releases.

  5. Same problem in Ver 6.2 ..

     

    We test by

    file://\\server\eset\ees_nt32_enu.msi  --- faild with error  "boost::filesystem::status: (0x5) Access is denied"

    file://c:\eset\ees_nt32_enu.msi  Works

    hxxp://server:3128/ees_nt32_enu.msi( We copy msi file to apache httpdoc forlder and change some setting in it,s config ) works

     

    So the problem is just with share resources.

     

    Any solutions ?

  6. Hi dears,

     

    We upgrade our ERA V6.1 to 6.2 and right now we send Remote Administrator Components Upgrade task to clients that have Agent ver6.1.365.0 .

    The server apache proxy is upgrraded to 2.4.16.

    The clients are offline and the apache proxy setting is set to ERA Agent policy to update it self via proxy.

     

    But right now Agent did not use apache proxy to upgrade , the upgrade task will faild and this line added to log :

    2015-09-08 12:42:23 Error: CSystemConnectorModule [Thread b98]: UpgradeInfrastructure: Task failed: GetFile: Host 'repository.eset.com' not found

     

    When I set gateway IP to lan setting (Direct internet) upgrade will work so it means that Agent did not use proxy to download the file:

    repository.eset.com/v1//com/eset/apps/business/era/agent/v6/6.2.171.0/Agent_x86.msi

     

    Also we check the apache proxy via IE at the clients and msi file easily downloaded via IE with ApacheProxy set.

     

    is it a bug or something els is wrong ?

    Another problem for ERA V6 is moving to new server ,

     

    For example a ERA server system have problem and we want to transfer ERA Server to new Server,

     

    There is no solution in support topics that how can we backup certificate and Database to transfer to new server.

     

    Can any one help that how can we do this ?

     

    As You know SQL Express did not have any studio manager to backup SQL database , what can customers can do ?
