    The most current version of Eset IS is ver. 14.0.22. I strongly recommend you upgrade to that version and see if this solves your issues.

    I can only offer that (I'm 14.0.22.0)-- MY PayPal Pmt problems -- seem to be fixed WHEN I can see/Find an "Allow  Cookies" Popup that I must OK (usually toward page bottom) , and THIS with Cookie AutoDelete showing designated cookies - per screen I'm on - at least Gray-listed. Clk'ing CONTINUE Button after some PayPal connected screen nets an eternal spinning circle, etc, UNLESS I have OK'd the Allow Cookies popup. On rare occasions I've Disabled some/all of uBO, Privacy Possum, and LocalCDN - but Cookie Popup OK seems to be the main issue

    I hope your solution is similar.

  2. Thanks, itman. Secure All = No chk there; There is some delay between the opening of the intended, non-BPP site and the appearance of the BPP page.

    This morning on a non-BPP college football site it has appeared Twice  so far (ie) appear after approx 1 minute viewing, delete, re-appear 2 minutes later. Often FF Safe Mode shows Addons/Extensions are the culprit and I could try working ONLY in a Test Profile to see IF it happens then.

    Just making sure no one had seen this before or knew of a possibility. I think it will be hard to diagnose.

  3. Marcos, in the Anti-Theft Activity Log I found several days with Incorrect Lock Code Entries followed by pics, location found, device recovered, and an AT&T Mobility LLC entry that MAY be a reaction to the Suspicious Activity ESET declares, OR maybe part of the cause.

    I Am SURE I did Not make multi-entries of the Lock Code, which I usually Only make from Phone Off at night to Phone On in morning; Wants Code only at morning Off to On - but I use Finger-Print other times.

    I'll see if Sppt can make sense of the Activity pics I sent them But amazingly I don't recall having to re-Enter the Lock Code like is shown - ever.

  4. I usually have to do a Finger Print or enter a Code after Wake-up. When I get this Phone Locked screen I start pressing anything logical and it ultimately gets back to a desktop - embarrassing but I can't recall when I see the desktop If I had to do the finger-print.

    When I posted this I didn't know there was an ESET Folder in my Note 10 Picture gallery with about 20 pictures, mostly Blurs BUT a few of me driving with the phone in a cup holder recess. So from a March 4 Suspicious activity email I saved to Mar 26 & 29 occurrences something made ESET think it needed to take pictures.

    Mon-Wed-Fri 9 am weekly Smart scans have run forever and a In-Depth Scan just now shows nothing. The App and my Note 10 functioning seem normal, otherwise. I understand Sppt can't auto-know what's going on, and after a 2nd Reply to run the Scan, I'll just wait & see IF it happens again, and save the data.

    Any other suggestions are appreciated.

  5. On the 26th and 29th and once prior I side-button-press woke my Note 10 phone and saw a Locked Screen -- and a back arrow gives me the Suspicious Activity message below -- The first two have Not occurred and I don't know how to check the "removed from device Administrators" (was not me if done). In all cases my phone is usable but I'd like to Stop the false Screens.

    Could an Installed App be causing this (remote snooping, etc.) --- and How do you check if possible?

    ESET Anti-Theft has recorded suspicious activity on your device Samsung SM-N970U.
    It might have been one of the following:
    • Someone entered an incorrect lock screen code
    • Someone has removed the SIM card and inserted another one
    • ESET Mobile Security has been removed from Device Administrators

    If you don't know the location of the device, sign in to your my.eset.com account at https://anti-theft.eset.com and confirm it as Missing. ESET Anti-Theft will start monitoring the activity on the device to help you find out its position.
  6. Probably unrelated but maybe worth knowing: Lately I can't pay with PayPal UNLESS I find an "Allow Cookies" popup at page bottom when I Clk "Pay with PayPal" on the vendor site. Page freezes or loading circle spins forever after "Continue" are symptoms. Do you ever see this Allow Cookies  popup?

    I muddy the water here by usually being in BPP mode, and I presume you're not. BUT, the Allow Cookies popup could matter sometime in the future.

    You can run a full WMI & registry scan when not working with the computer or not running resource-intensive applications.

    Autorun keys are scanned after a module update and when the system starts.

    Thanks, Marcos. I just did a manual Scan with Registry and WMI chk'd along with the regular modules seen in this Log Rept.

    Just wondering WHY with Registry and WMI Added the Log is HALF the size of Scheduled Scans showing that don't include these two. I see the E Recovery Partition on my D Data Drive shows in Today's Scan but isn't chk'd in others. Drive C is SSD.

  8. BPP OK with me but from an amateur's perspective you might check and post that you Opened EIS/ Setup/Security Tools/ BPP Cog Wheel/Configure ... and the BPP Enable box is Still chkd / Edit Protected sites : the Site settings look right.

    Hard to give a solution when we're Just at "not working" and that's all we know. Does "not working" mean you just get a regular, non-protected screen, or something more? .... Per itman, it's worth naming your Browser, too.

  9. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/history-cleaner/

    First, Can you install a Firefox Addon into the BPP Profile?

    I get an -- "Aborted Install - Appears to be Corrupt" -- for the FF (I'm 84.0.1) Addon - History Cleaner -- above BUT I have it in the regular FF profile.

    I've only thought to include the above  URL in Web Access Protect/ URL Mgt/ List of Allowed Addresses -- and That didn't help.

    Assuming BPP just makes it "Look" corrupt, is there anything else I can try?

  10. Has anyone tested the new FF 83 "HTTPS-Only" Mode (in the FF Privacy module) WITH BPP?

    For -- regions.com (bank) --I get the Can't Redirect page --- https://help.eset.com/eis/14/en-US/how_resolve_bp_browser_error.html?issue=00110105 --- page and the FF Trick to clk on the address bar Lock Button and Turn HTTPS-Only Off -- FOR THAT SITE --  doesn't work because it's no longer showing the Regions address - it's the -- help.eset -- url showing.

    Turn Web-Email SSL OFF use to work on some issues but not here.

    I know that BPP uses a Separate FF Profile. What other Key facts do I need to post on the mozillazine.org Forum to see IF this feature and BPP can work?

    Not life threatening but somebody will ultimately ask this.

  11. Sorry! The Apps section in Firefox Options WITHIN BPP had somehow changed to "ASK" for Portable Document Folder format (it Did NOT ask); The Main FF Options I first chk'd was correct;

    I changed my BPP window TO my PDF X-Change App -- and Merrill & Regions loaded PDF statements. With so many Security add-ons and settings to check you need a team for home computers now.

    ===============================

    EDIT to Itman's Replies below: I won't bump other Threads for this BUT I later found multi-Dnloaded Statement Files on my Desktop when prior experiences had me seeing the data IN the open page first - then SAVE AS - No Dnload. I Just did Not see / expect the dnloads ........... AND, he's right about not knowing / forgetting that you must make FF Options Choices in BOTH the Regular AND BPP Profiles.

    ========================================================================

    Last attempted (succeeded)  in March, Today -- In FIREFOX -- I could not load Merrill Lynch -- (.aspx) -- Statement pages (large Blank page usually populated with data) OR -- See -- PDF Regions Bank Statement pages to Save.

    Firefox Test Profile (no addons, etc) with BPP failed; EDGE succeeded WITH BPP.

    HOW do you Troubleshoot such a dilemma? (ie) --  is there any Data I can tell them to assist better with a Security Feature that they don't author?

  12. Over a week but rare uses it was taking 45 seconds to load a BPP page and the same for PWd processing;

    Then today I got -- error code: 0x847695d0 -- and a Search solved the problem (ie) Open Eset/ Setup/ Security Tools/ Bank-Pmt Protect/ 1-Left-Clk on On-Off Button and Drop-dn offers: Disable Permanently - Choose it/ Close and Re-start computer / Reactivate BPP .... Problem solved.

    Had THAT not worked the KB6408 instructed Uninstall / Reinstall ESET App.

    FYI

  13. The solution was to go to My PC\Desktop\Rt Clk\Properties\Security tab .... the Modify Box for the "Everyone Group" was UN-Chk'd.

    I chk'd it and Saved a Word .docx to the Desktop and a small App Dnloaded to Desktop later. This with me using the - Me Admin (ALL Boxes chk'd) -- acct Only. Will research what the Everyone Group is about later.

    In W10-1909 Settings/ Update & Security/ Win Security/ Virus & Threat Protect in the center bottom is a box that allows Off/On for -- Windows Defender Antivirus Options (You can keep your current provider and have Win Defender periodically check for threats) -- and Clk'ing On and going in further was the Only way I found Controlled Folder Access. Irrelevant since that On/Off was Off, so CFA couldn't have been On.

  14. In the recent past I can no longer Save Apps or docs to Desktop as I always have. A common solution has involved Controlled Folder Access = OFF via a W10 Defender setting But I confirmed mine has always been OFF ( I only found Controlled Folder Access by stumbling onto - Allow Defender to Scan Randomly with ESET- and the On/Off choice becomes available).

    A Forum's moderator suggested ESET HIPS as a possible cause BUT IF I just Clk'd -- Enable HIPS -- to Off and many boxes went Blank, is THAT All I needed to test for ESET?

    A Backup Admin acct CAN Save to Desktop but THAT doesn't prove what changed in the Admin Acct I use Exclusively. My rarely used Bkup Admin Acct is like a parallel universe where little is the same as in my main acct so I don't know if ESET is different for it (where I Can Save to Desktop) Vs some setting for the Main Admin Acct.

    Not likely ESET but may as well ask.  Thanks as always.
