I use Eset for many years and I like it.

Then why change a long term winning concept for something else that is not to be associated with the simplicity of ESET, how they run things, and what they stand for. If they would consider your product idea then ESET would enter the "all in one" product territory, and steer away from the simple consumer products that they have developed till this day and what made the ESET brand back in the day, and what it still is today.

A tool that scan Windows, registry, files, applications, etc. if were not damaged or modified of malware, also check if not has been deleted a file or registry key that would cause errors or impairs the functioning of the system.

Sandbox (for browser) for run suspected or sensible sites, also Safe Pay (Keeps hackers at bay by automatically opening all online banking pages in a separate, secure browser, and keeps all necessary credentials safe and within your reach.).

Password Manager (stores, password management) this feature would have function of generate and stores user’s passwords.

Security Vault for encrypt with password the most valuable or personal data.

Wallet (Stores your sensitive credentials and automatically logs you in to all your favourite websites emails and apps.)

Start-Up Manager (Manage all tasks, applications that starts with windows). It is necessary to have a tool that create a secure network connection, VPN (Virtual Private Network).

Browser Configuration Wizard (Performs a security analysis for Web browser Settings.)

Backup (Create a reserve copy of files, documents, etc. on a removable devices or in cloud space. Create a reserve copy even of windows, registry, and others).

Network Monitor (Display all connected devices at home network to prevent unauthorised connection from outside.)

Depends, I apreciate Eset for it's advanced techniques. I do not see any problems if Eset will steps on "all in one " territory

  2. I use Eset for many years, I like and appreciate all versions of Eset (Eset Smart Security, Eset NOD32 Antivirus, Eset Cybersecurity, Eset mobile Security). From past to present Eset developed strong architecture and revolutionize the security in cyber world.

Security has a lot of sectors and the base was placed, now it is time to be sundry and extend the aims. Someone said that it would be crowded features if will be added but if all are well organized it is not a problem. Now it is time to develop a version from all angles, security than never before, new powerful and advanced features, many security settings, a premium and ultimate product. This new version can be called "Titan" or "Gold". Eset Titan version can be included besides Eset Smart Security and Eset NOD32 Antivirus (System requirements to be the same). It is not easy to develop a project like this but would be a step further and expert users or users that likes many features and possibilities will be happy to use version.  Some features that can be included:

All premium features are a part of security, it is essential to work and adopt a strategy and do not try to avoid. It can be expensive but the investment worth it, the number of new users will grow up.

  3. Hi,

    For Eset 9 :

As Avast : auto-update "critical" softwares (java, flashplayer, browsers...)

As Avast / Teamviewer : monitoring the others Eset when we buy one lisense for 3/5 computers (for i can help my dad and mother)

LiveGrid : scan/show score browser plugins

    Better unknow file cloud alert

USB Support immunizes against autorun :hxxp://labs.bitdefender.com/projects/usb-immunizer/overview/

Show and more easy report bad website (maybe a browser plugin?)

    An Eset free version !!!

    And sorry for bad english

Eset can not copy Avast features like Teamviewer, they try to develop something own.

  4. Hello. Will there be in the near future, such a regime in EAV? It would be very convenient. And now we have to use free Sandboxie. Such as Avast antivirus pro has a sandbox mode. Please add your product in this function.

Sandbox is a good idea and can be developed by Eset in own way not like other vendors.

  5. Ahh you mean this...

Well, if it wouldn't lock the device then the thief would be able to deactivate GPS or do other things, which wouldn't be good in this case.

And if GPS is deactivated you can't locate your device anymore.

If the smartphone has a password or fingerprint protection of lockscreen and settings the thief can not deactivate GPS.
  6. Hi, I am a longterm happy eset user

Just a few idea's and remarks:

    1) with win 8.1, I've setup a hidden administrator account and a useraccount with no rights and uac at maximum.  the gui is not playing nice in this situation.

    2) anti-keylogger ->  encrypted keystrokes so if something gets logged it's useless

    3) webcam+mic protection -> display notification/block when someone/something turns it on. (optional and with configurable exceptions for e.g. skype). (i've encountered a situation where the webcam was turned on for just a second)

    4) router/hotspot detection -> if (cached) macaddress is changed, display notifcation, to prevent using fake hotspots.

    5) SSL checking ->  check for certificates without strong encryption, check web sessions for hearthblead and other recent vulnerabilities. this does not necessarily have to be done in the protocol filtering section.

    6) a default ruleset for populair apps, optional downloadable from the website for import.

    /MJ

From what I know Eset Smart Security has SSL checking and certificates are scanned.

  7. Hello,

False alarms on a web site are a big deal. They affect:

    • Whomever owns the web site.
    • Whomever visits the web site.
    • The credibility of the company which generated the the false positive alarm to begin with.
It has been my experience that people who visit web sites do not always know when a report of a problem is a false alarm or not. They might assume it is, and it turns out to be a legitimate report and they get infected. Or, they may contact the site operator or their anti-malware solutions provider, creating a support burden.

Just because eight, eighty or eight hundred anti-malware companies do something does not mean that ESET should follow them down the "me, too" path. ESET chooses to implement technologies when they provide a tangible benefit to the computing public.

    Regards,

    Aryeh Goretsky

False alarms on web sites are no big deal. If you know the site is safe you can just click the continue button. Not the end of the world. Again if 8 antivirus companies that I listed then Eset can also do it. It is a simple browser add on you guys can make available in the Chrome App store. IT IS NOT DIRECTLY part of Eset. Gezzz. I give up.

False Positive are very important to be low. Eset work smart and almost has no false positive. Congratulations! Good Work!
