  1. Because couple of months ago, I could see the other scanned objects, not just the one that are unable to open and I haven't touched any of the settings, so was wondering what could have done that 😕
  2. Hello, i've done in-depth scan, and in the scan log only shows the objects that were unable to open(in ornage) , it used to show every scanned object, the one with black. Is it a new feature or something wrong with me eset ?
  3. I don't assume it was caused by ESET, and it was installed. Was just wondering if It was a issue while turning on the system or it's a malicious user. Sorry I forgot to post the name the application is called sihost.exe that errored, is there a way to edit ? Basically when I turned on the laptop after a week or so an error message came sihost.exe with the title name on the error message, I pressed enter waited for 3-4 seconds. and turned it off, and on by the power button. Then windows update happened you know the 30% etc. And it worked , it was a bit slow (usually it is ) in the beginning now its workig. Wanna know if its something malicious or just this application bugged and I dont know how to check 😕
  4. Week ago I trued to force update windows ( probably was optional update) showed some error not this message and turned off the laptop, a day later had to check quickly and the laptop was turned on for 15-20 min (didnt check if there were any updates going on) turned off and turned it on today and upon turning on was slow and showed this message . I shut it down and turned it on again an there was a windows update and now its working fine. The "This Overrun could potentially allow malicious user to gain control of this application" message got me, since I do banking on this laptop and keep it safe from browsing youtube and online banking sites. 1. I really want to know what caused this issue, was it just some troubleshooting in the system or there is actually a malicious user as it states on the message. I am wondering if i should wipe-out and resinstall the windows or run the eset in depth scan or I checked on the internet about something called -RUn SFC and DISM command. Now I wanna know what caused the issue and was wondering if i do these steps the potential issue could be cleaned w/o me knowning thus happening again. I chekced event viewer there we some errors that got my attention 7023 The NcbService service terminated with following error - A Device attached to the system is not functioning 7022 - the windows search service hung on starting 7022 - the update orchestrator service service hun on starting 7022 -The system guard runtime monitor broker service hung on starting Also chekced the reliability monitor in security and maintenance - aw from today some critical errors - first being windows - was not properly shut down( the turn off switch by me I guess) MoUSO core worker process stopped working, as far as i know this is something with the windows update which is fine now , I think I also got this error a week ago when I tried to force update it . Also got Microsoft, photos.exe - stopped responding and was closed and Windows Defender app - stopped working and it was closed ( Do I care about this when I have eset i-net security) Just overall I wanna know if it was just a application that didn't start correctly upon turning on or the windows update or there is this "malicious user" how to find out exactly . And if I to the full scan and nothing is found is it safe to use the laptop for banking etc ? Sorry for the long post !
  5. shiiet, I have a very router provided by my internet company and I am thinking to upgrade my router o.O maybe that will prevent future breaches
  6. Yeah I heard about it and I am planning to do in the near future, thanks for the input. Problem is I have old huawei and the software is old , for almost a year nothing really happened, since I dont do apps besides the facebook, istagram, deezer , youtube , shazam , twitch ofc the facebook messenger and viber and I rarely go the the internet( google chrome). I have been thinking- under Network Inspector - Scan your network this could be a nice way for checking ?
  7. Hello, so basically the topic says it all i have an old huawei, which I basically use for phone calls, social media and music - nothing special. While inspecting my new AV under Network Inspector saw my phone which, I forgot about . If it potentially infects my wi-fi, is my internet security block the infected signals that that It could send to my other two devices (laptops) that are equipped with Internet Security. Especially the network feature, which has pretty cool protections. I recently called my internet provider to ask something like: that devices won't have any connections with each other - maybe that could help ? (not sure I explained very correctly) I recently found out about this options and I don't really know how does it work if the whole router is infected.
  8. I see, I am about to activate my internet security and gotta go to work asap, its possible to make eset home and connect the licenses later ?
  9. Yeah is there any use of it ( ESET HOME) I'm about to have 2 eset products on 2 laptops tomorrow, and was wondering if I should do it
  10. Hello, as the title says I'm upgrading my AV to internet security from the normal AV the people who work here in this country just told me to "Renew license" with my new keys I found this a bit strange since there is "activate product" right next to it, not sure if he is right or a bit confused. I just figured out that I am not using ESET home feature while was looking for info about the renewal, the thing is if I'm not using the laptop its always closed anyways that's why didn't really put much emphasis on it, is it any good/useful ?
  11. EIS it is. Thank you very much ! I've decided to buy 2 EIS, if you buy for 2 devices the 2nd one (EIS) gets cheaper.
  12. I heard that the banks secure their site's very well , no matter if ur device is infected it might not affect the banking site since its extra secured from the banks or its ?
  13. Hey, thank you for the input. ESET SCP is a little bit out of my reach atm, since I have to buy 2 AV's I just saw that if u buy for 2 devices it gets cheaper the EIS, same goes for ESET SCP but it still out of my reach. Quick question I just saw there are coupons , when I press "redeem" it directs me to the site to buy it. Any clarification how this work exactly ? And i suppose there are new coupon deals for every month ?
  14. Hello, I have couple of laptops that are with eset nod32 AV, i've been thinking to upgrade one of the laptops , which the banking and some important stuff are done there but besides that activities this laptop is barely in use. I also want to use the wi-fi security that the i-net security offers but if the laptop is used rarely is there a point ? Should I just use the Eset I-net Security on the laptop that is used more often ? Btw do you guys have any discounts on the AV ? Ive been using the AV for about 2 years for multiple devices and was wondering .
  15. Yeah, I did it , I just posted it for the steps for someone in the future if he needs it - its done. Could you please take a look at the 2nd part, with the laptops
  16. Hello, First of all I would like to thank you for your help. 1. This might be helpful to someone like me :), so delete the "mjbep..." from registry HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Google\Chrome\Extensions\...\Chrome\Extension " mjbepbhonbojpoaenhckjocchgfiaofo" 2. %appdata%roaming files to delete it , 3. I used adwcleaner ( it did detect some acestream files that I missed) Now I am not sure if I should make a new thread about it therefore I decided to ask you. I have 2 laptops very clean browsing , 3rd used for streaming movies ( the one when u click and it redirects you to bettings sites and so on) whenever I decided to click "play" on a movie a new tab opens on my tab redirecting me to some site but the Nod AV most of the time either blocks it "threat(red)" or "pup(yellow)" and I close the redirected tab and just play the movie, does it mean that the AV blocked the site and the potential threat the movie is safe to play? Correct me if I am wrong, when I installed the Ace STream on my laptop since we were all on the same wi-fi does it mean that we are on the same server, therefore sharing this floating files, because when I cleaned the 3rd laptop going to the local files and floating files checking them, on the 2 laptops got a new folder called "LocalLow" file. My solution for the time being is to make a sub network as I heard if f.e my wi-fi is "Asd1" I can make a sub wi-fi called "Asd1 guest" which will be different therefore my 3rd laptop wont have any connection to the other 2 laptops I desperately wanna stream movies w/o affecting my other 2 laptops. Sorry again I wanted to make it as short as possible
  17. Oh my God , so sorry. I deleted it from all 3 laptops it was under appdata/roaming files , delete and in the recycle bin guess thats good enough ? I wanted to copy things thing buti t says the other user uses mozilla. Did you find any information about this Ace Script thing ? Because im starting to get worried that I have to change all my passwords now.... or you reckon its not so dangerous
  18. P.S. I uninstalled acestream on my 3rd laptop the day I installed it 1-2 hours later maybe 6months - 1 year ago , just checked it also had this mjbepbhonbojpoaenhckjocchgfiaofo extension
  19. Today when I decided to change accounts on google chrome on the top right corner where are the 3 dots I saw an error message when clicked there were 2 browser extensions - 1 Ace Script from Ace Stream and 2nd Malewarebytes guard something. I clicked to see what were those and didn't have the option to remove them , on chrome extensions it wasn't displayed. When I ran couple of days ago on my first laptop full scan it detected this extensions and I clicked to remove it, ran again in the scan it was clean. On the 2nd laptop , full scan - showed nothing. Dont remember installing acestream on these 2 laptops or if it happened it was very long time ago, I think I even had windows preinstalled after that. I did some research and quite few people had this issue and found a solution how to remove it from regedit "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Google\Chrome\Extensions\...\Chrome\Extension called " mjbepbhonbojpoaenhckjocchgfiaofo" I forgot to take picture but I saw someone posted something like "another programe added an extensions that might change the way chrome works" I had this extensions KEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Google\Chrome\Extensions\...\Chrome\Extension "mjbepbhonbojpoaenhckjocchgfiaofo" on both of my computers even though they showed clean. I couldnt find much info so if any could give me more details about it , do I have to change my passwords and so on ? I use nod32 ANTIVIRUS I have a 3rd laptop for streaming movies , and I think i installed acestream there maybe more than a year ago, it uses a free version of nod32 provided from my internet provider ( doubt it can send to to my other laptops ) just for info. While we are on google chrome topic, I had an upgrade on google chrome today and after the update it was written something like " reload the page to continue" it wiped out all my history and removed my addblocker extensions and when I try to install it on extensions "no results shown" any other way to install it ? And when I enter chrome there is in the middle "Who is using chrome" and on the bottom of the middle eventual chrome useres "Guest 1" "my account " "guest 1" is this new feature or something ? Sorry for long post and if I had stupid questions
  20. I see, so its only for the users as I am the only user with ID and password its fine , thank you very much !
  21. Aren't the Rougekiller and hitmanpro gonna interact negatively with the already existing ESET or they are more like malewarebytes ?
  22. Thank you very much for the input. Just a little bit off topic , was looking yesterday at some of my options (the reason I started to fear about public wi-fi and so on) I found out at c:/users > public > public desktop files such as google chrome, what do they mean by public ? Everyone in my network or who are the public , I am the only one seeing what im browsing, right ? to the point where i ended up in " Computer management - shares and see this ADMIN$ - Remote admin and the others. Started to worry if every device that is connected to the network can share, browsing, monitoring etc. I dont mind for the other devices but the one that I watch movies. Thought this laptop might be able to see my activity and that led to my "fear" about the wi-fi thing. Sorry if the question is a dumb, im just a noob trying to find some answers
