It's sad to see 'Andy the Android' disappearing.
He's been around for years, but I guess it's just changing with the times. Businesses are moving away from Mascots as such.

We use Protect Cloud as an MSP for our customers.
Is it possible to have devices auto-activate when hey appear in the customers group, and are currently not activated?
We use our RMM to install the agent and connect it to ProtectCloud, and then it installs the endpoint security software, but then we have to go into PROTECT to activate it. IT would be great if Protect could do this automatically when it detects an unactivated device, and assigns the right customers licence?
Unless there is a better way of doing this?

I was wondering what ESETs plans are for the Outlook add-in once 'New Outlook' rolls out.
It doesn't support COM add-ins (obvs), so it would need a switch to the newer add-in type. -
Thats fine. I understand that, but why is it prompting me to update to 3.4, which its already on?
It's picking that up from somewhere?

My EEE Server is reporting a new version available, but prompting that its 3.4, and even downloads that version, even though thats the version im on currently!
Checking the ESET Website, it should be offering 3.5. Not sure what's happening there

Is it possible to have machines automatically licenced based on the group that they're moved into?
We have a generic installer, that adds devices into a 'PreStage' group. Then we move them into their relevant company, and then have to run an activation task to activate it. It would be good if this could be automated, so any new members of a group can get automatically activated.
I know you can do this for dynamic groups, but the company folders for MSP are not dynamic.

@BrianMorris This is perfect thank you. Ive noticed some machines still have the licences as EDTD and some with the new name, so I might hang on for a week or so to let the name change filter through.
I can t understand why they cant add a little symbol next to the machine name like they do with Full Disk Encryption.

Is there a way to easily see or sort computers based on their DTD Activation status.
I can tell by our licence count that not all the computers with EES installed have got DTD activated, but its not very easy to see which is which, without going into each machine one by one

I did some testing and it looks like they do reconnect.
Just in case anyone else wondered.

Id like to do some tidying up of our Protect Console, and remove some devices that havent connected for a long time.
We believe most of these old devices no longer exist, but not 100% on all of them. (Long story)
If we remove them from Protect without removing the agent from the machine, if the machine is turned on and connects to the internet, will it re-join Prtect, or will re need to re-install the agent.
I would like it to automatically add itself again if possible.

Thanks, that only helps users that are connected to PROTECT Console though.

Is there anyway to exclude this from being detected. We use Connectwise Control with our clients, but our clients can no longer download it because the AV we sell them blocks it.

Does anyone know if the download speed when downloading an installer from the website is throttled in anyway?
It seems to take ages to download, but we don't get this issue anywhere else?

I have a client that uses the Secure Browser to access her online banking, however she needs to download a copy of her statement to send off for funding.
However it doesn't seem like the secure browser likes to do that, the download always fails. I've also tried Print to PDF, or just simply printing to a printer, neither of which works.
Can anyone offer any guidance? Seems a bit daft to have to log into the non-secure browser to download or print a statement.

It would be great if we could use this for our MSP clients. We currently have an onsite ESMC, but our internet speeds are not great, so its very slow and cumbersome.

We have this too. We discovered it with a client who went through CyberEssentials +
It seems Windows Defender used to keep itself up to date even with a 3rd party AV installed. Something was changed and now it doesnt. This causes Vulnerability scanners to flag it as out of date (which it is)
