Is there a way to revert to previous SmartSecurity version that didn't have this problem?
https://support.eset.com/kb2885/
Uninstall and then reinstall an older version from this KB.

If you have the file, you can use the following website to see what it does:
-
-
Did you open Google Drive earlier?
The default setting is that the app re-locks after "screen off".

Everybody please stop responding to this trol.
Nobody is forcing anyone to use ESET or any other AV vendor for that matter.

Thanks, but I have no idea how to do that. Hunted high and low on the Eset web site, only contact given in my sign-up emails from Eset is support.eset.com and that only leads to a pile of pre-set answers to a stuffing of pre-set questions. This is probably not worth the effort ...

I am sorry that nothing helps. It was al the things i could think of.
I guess you should contact you local support for assistance. Maybe they know a way to troubleshoot this better, like provide logs or something.Good luck.
P.S. Maybe some other people can think of something the OP could try... -
1. Are there any OS updates available?
2. What happens if you reboot your smartphone?
3. Have you tried re-installing the app? (Uninstall, Clear App cache:https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-214978/, reboot phone, re-install)

I have no problems with the ESET Mobile Security app, uses about 40MB of memory. (OnePlus 5)

As for the sample that wasn't detected and you submitted it, please provide me with its hash.
See hxxp://metal.fortiguard.com/tests/
ESET is not handling this test well: Passworded ZIP - ZIP test file

At the 15-th of the May:
"The http2 support is in progress, I checked the related tasks in the tracking system and they are being completed,... "
" It means that all subtasks related to implementation of HTTP2 support (there are about 100 of them if I remember correctly) are almost done. "On the 22st of the May on prerelease channel internet protection module was updated to version 1334, but still no http2 support. It was said that support for http2 will be through internet protection module update.
What I understand is that the developers were (almost) ready around 15th of May, that does not mean it is ready for production. And almost being the operative word.
There is also something called testing... -

Hello,
I just updated the ESET Mobile Security app on Android, and now the "You are protected" notification is permanently back. And I can't find where I can disable it.
It was possible in previous versions. How can i disable it again?
Thanks in advance

The OP doesn't want to be forcibly protected, and he paid for this "right". All he/she is asking is that the program he paid for to behave according to the settings.
What is so difficult to comprehend?????
Wow how do you know he has bought ESET legally?
And if the OP does not want to be "forcibly" protected he can as well uninstall ESET, before he complains that some Virus/Malware got onto his system while having an ESET installed . -> equals bad reputation for ESET to anyone he tells. While it is his own fault.
-
Maybe you should consider de-installing ESET since you don't want to be protected...
-
-
-
Maybe you can try re-installing Steam?
I also use Steam and don't have these kinds of problems...

I also don't feel the need in using in using VPN but I had to choose one it would be: https://protonvpn.com/

The only "issue" i have on the forum is regarding the icon displaying that there are new posts in the forum, but there is not. And the cause of because of moved threads. And the link toward it from where it was.

It is there by design. Why is it bothering you?

As far as I know that is possible with an "Multi Device" license:
