  1. I can confirm that at least in my case the laggy window problem went away with the version 17.1.9.0 with my main system using 4090 which is great but my notebook with acient 730M gpu is doing some funky things with the latest version. Let me explain. When you move the window using my old notebook it has realy a ton of latency maybe like up to 1sec in delay. It is actually hillarious to use but judging by the age of the gpu with no new gpu drivers updates in YEARS I can see why it may not be working in a proper way ever. Still my main system is working fine. Not as smooth movement as it coud be although galaxies better than laggy predecessors. Also the problem with firewall in interactive mode constantly asking for the same processes upon each restart (Nvidia container DNS win 11 process) seems to be solved. Finally some good work! Thanks for the update. Late is still better than never.
  2. Almost a year after this whole lagging problem and it is still not resolved. btw I was trying new fresh win 11 pro install on my machine and besides the usual stuff I was interested if it actually fixes the problem with eset internet security laggy window while dragging it. All I can say is NOPE also the firewall in interactive mode is still annoying asking for the same services in infinite loops after each restart. Even my family ocasionally using my pc for some internet browsing was aking me what is that intrusive dialog window after each restart.
  3. This is long term problem starting with version 16. Last known working version from my own testing is 15.x. I am not one of those people ditching any piece of my long term used and also fav software for any bugs if it at least seems that the developers care about the issue. However, in this particular case I am starting to believe these exuses are not in place. This might seem like a harmless visual bug but the problems with eset are slowly starting to stack up with non-correctly working firewall especially in interactive mode - asking for the same processes upon each restart e.g. NvidiaContainer, windows system process host etc. Externally provided UI engine is ok but you need not only to investigate but push your provider to FIX the issue. This is not a freeware soft and when you consider it can't handle even some basic functionality now througout multiple versions updates maybe it is time to move on.
  4. Sorry for the bump but the new version still posseses the same problem. I really hope for the fix in some of the future updates. Truly bizarre problem.
  5. Ok after trying an older version namely 15.12.17.0 (going straight to version 15 instead of slightly older16th version to save time with testing) all I can report is the smoothness is back! At least on laptop with GT730M graphics. Shame I am not home right now to test my main PC but I would bet the results will be pretty much the same. Nothing else was done besides uninstalling latest 16.1.14.0 then installing the version mentioned above and all the problems are gone. Of course this is not a viable long-term solution for security and I was done strictly to show there is something wrong with hw acceleration of the ui in the latest version for some users. Now applying update from 15 to 16 and the lags/stutter are back.
  6. Thanks very much for the swift reply. Yes, I am using the latest version on both machines. As I said it started a few versions back. To your second question: Yes, it does happen the same way even in SysInspector window while dragging in comparison to any other application. It is really unusual problem I have never encountered before....My last chance is to pinpoint which version exactly started with this supposed bug first.
  7. He is not alone and eset seems to ignore this problem. I have exactly the same issue on my main PC: Ryzen 5900X, RTX4090 on Win 10x64 22H2 all latest updates and latest drivers on LG C2 Oled with G-Sync and VRR enabled in 4k . This is the ONLY program having such problems. The weird thing is my old laptop with GeForce GT730M is having exactly the same issue which started a few eset updates back. Reinstalling the program won't help. Win updates won't help. Reverting back or reinstalling graphics driver won't help. There is clearly something wrong with eset hw acceleration handling.
