due to eset high reputation, I expected more reactity and more openmindedness to communicate with their beta testers.I switch to Kasperky
A new v9 build with full Win10 RTM compatibility will be released by the beginning of next week (before official Win10 release), we just needed to check if everything's compatible with "zero day update package" that will be released on July 29th.

See Post Number 21 - Posted 21 July 2015Can't tell if it is close or far away. Would like a REAL date,

This is not a official release date confirmation, just an expected timeframe of release.October 2015/Q4 2015
You can expect a new beta release by the beginning of next week (compatible with Win10 RTM build)

when we can expect final relase of ess 9?
October 2015
Wow, must be the first time ever I see an ESET rep mention a release date/month (approximate?) in public
Martin must not have received the memo about giving "release dates".
I said you can "expect" the release, I didn't confirm anything , there's no official release date announced yet, but at least two previous versions have been release at that time, so you can "expect" there will be something new released at that time . I didn't confirmed anything officially and I'm not gonna do that before an official PR announcement.

Hi, I can confirm that v9 will support right to left languages (arabic and hebrew)

All modules that need to be updated to be compatible with Win10 10240 should be ready later today, but we need to test it, so it will be available sometimes next week.
-
Please wait for just few more days and we will release updated installer files with full support for Win 10 RTM build (10240).
-
No answers from Eset. They used to be such nice people.
I miss the Wilders Security Forums days of glory.
From what I can see Eset is waiting on Microsoft..

Hi guy, we are working on support for Win10 build 10240 (this looks like the final RTM build, but it's not officially confirmed yet), updated installers (version 8, version 9 beta) will be available in just couple of days.
-
you're welcome
So ... we will leave this as it's already implemented, black on white is the maximum possible contrast achievable
-
you're right: a bright blue would be ok and matching the gui colors, hoping some dev will read this
At least some product managers are reading this , I will discuss this idea with our designer. Thanks for that.

I don't want to be annoying... but to clarify for myself... once the v9 of ESET is officially released, will our licenses carry over from the program update of those of us using v8 of ESS and NOD32 the official version of v9?
Or first of all, is it required to do a clean installation once it officially releases?
yes, your v8 license will be transfered during upgrade process.
no, it will not be required to do a clean installation when v9 is officially released.

Updated v9 beta installers compatible with Windows 10 build 10130 are available on public download server,so you need to download the installer again.

When I'm trying to uninstall the beta version I'm getting the following error:
hxxp://i.imgur.com/hO2HkhA.png
I'm trying to uninstall because it affects my performance, especially when browsing on the net. I noticed a huge slowdown with this release installed both in system & internet speed. Sometimes I even have to reload the browser because of some random error which didn't appear before.
As 2503 & 2502 error means no admin mode for installer I tried to run it as admin, but still didn't help. Uninstaller didn't have permission to stop the service.
Any solutions for this? At the moment I can't restart my OS into safe mode, but soon I will try that one too.
By the way I've got Windows 8.1 x64
Edit:
I tried to uninstall in safe mode, but uninstallation isn't possible in it.
Please try ESET uninstaller tool (hxxp://download.eset.com/special/ESETUninstaller.exe) in Windows safe mode.

SSL checking is ON by default and ESET's certificate is installed in Trusted root CA...
Interesting. Are you sure ?
It wasn't enabled for me when I was in the Advanced Setup window. I don't use SSL scanning, so if it would have been enabled I would have disabled it, but I didn't need to do that as it was disabled by default for me. Maybe it depends on what OS you install ESET on ?
SSL scanning is turned on by default, except for Windows XP

so will the old ones still work? what about those of us who just bought the 5 packs from newegg? i literally just bought 3 of those and i had 3 or 4 other retail boxes still sealed? are those no good now? if so that is a bad move imo. i even had my mom and some other family members buy like 3 when newegg had them on sale so they had them for the future, i asked many times if they would ever not work over at wilders and was told many times they had no plans of killing those. so PLEASE clarify for me. if this is the case there are MANY people who will not be happy i know a ton of people who do the same when they are on sale. and what about those who have time left on their existing lic. so far v9 fixes my issue with the lightweight filter while v8 does not?
im not stating at all they will not work just wanting someone to clarify how or at least tell us they will work and i didnt loose money on those.
thank you
Yes, you can still use unused license keys for v9 activation and you will be able to convert your existing username/password to a new license key for final v9 release.

where to find a version in Portuguese of Brazil? and another because never change an interface from all other anti virus change their interfaceHe did a year
Beta is english only but the final release will be localized to portuguese (Brazil)
please tell us will we still be able to use our old UN-USED lic keys (i have some boxed versions i ordered from newegg when they are on sale and i hang onto them to use as needed) in this version i saw a few people saying (not from eset just on general forums) they were changing the way it activates and we would not be able to use the older lic's anymore? please clarify for sure for us, thank you
Yes, you can still use unused license keys for v9 activation.

Yeah I see the same here, no biggie I guess, but always good to find out why
The answer is very simple , installer itself is from different build (114) but it contains build 111.

Hi. can't activate beta.
Not tired on my main pc as yet, only a VM. VM currently W10 *64 10122.
Admittedly in notes it says W10 10074 supported. Not sure if it is Activation server issue or that it is W10 10122.
Thanks,
Hi, this is due to incompatible modules with Win10 build 10122. Unfortunatelly v9 beta cannot be activated on Win10 10122.

Sounds great.
Just one question.
WHEN?
Today

Try to download the updated installers from beta download page (hxxp://www.eset.com/int/download/beta-versions/) , it looks like metadata are not updated yet.
