Hi,
I am trying to install ESET Antivirus on OSX machines. I am able to push the application via ESMC, but I keep getting an error that Product is Not Activated. I checked the settings of my installer and I am seeing that we still have license. I tried to create a Product Activation task, but it keeps on failing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,
As part of our offboarding process, we are removing ESet products to free up licenses. Is there a way or a script that we can run to do ESet products uninstallation remotely?

Hi,
We have blocked Youtube on our web control policy. However. we have a company video uploaded on Youtube. Is there a way to allow only that specific video to be unblocked instead of the whole Youtube URL to be accessible?

Thanks for usual help, Marcos. By the way, I'm getting this error when creating a filter on Web Control Report. Is this due to the previous setup of the Web Control Policy? Is there a way to resolve this?

I only created an Allowed sites URL-based rule for sites that falls under the Block Category and placed it above the Blocked Category-based rule. That way, those sites will still be accessible even if that particular category block rule is still in effect. Will this setup be an issue?

So what's the best practice setup to avoid that?

I changed the Allowed sites policy Logging Severity to NONE and Blocked sites to Warning. Is that okay?

I created one for Allowed Sites which is set to Warning and the Blocked Sites Severity is set to None. What's the best practice on setting this up?

I am trying to create a report for Web Control. I am having an issue when selecting Web Control - Action Performed, I keep on getting <Error Request Timeout 90000 ms exceeded>. Is this a network-related issue?

Is there a way to create a report on endpoints that does not have a policy in place on them?

Yeah, I this seems weird. I have submitted a ticket to their support team. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for this. I already tried to tweak up the policy for OSX, but it's still giving us a warning for Operating System Updates.

Hi,
I am getting this error when installing ESet Products on Windows 7 machines. I checked the system requirements and patched the update KB4474419 and KB4490628 but this error still appears. Hoping for your usual assistance on this. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the advise!

Okay got it. So just to be clear, v8.0 below must be done manually, right? And the future updates (e.g. 8.1 and above will be automatic with this setting)? For OSX, is this feature also available?

Hi,
We set a Device Control policy on ESMC to block USB and it works really well. However, it suddenly was turned off. Is there a way to check o the logs who made the change on the policies?

Is there a way to block apps on endpoint devices? I tried to create a HIPS rule to block Garena.exe, but the exe file is still launching.
-
Just one quick question, it wont eat up another license when upgrading right?

Thanks for the advise. What the next step in order for the endpoint to appear on our ESMC?

We just had a remote session with ESET support and we found out that SSL inspection is blocking connection going to ESET activation servers. After enabling SSL inspection issue, we were able to activate ESET product.
