Hi, I have the following problem I cannot fix. I have a small Volumio-based computer as an audio server, which has a samba share setup. I can access this samba share without problems from Ubuntu-based computers. My Windows 10 Home computer however, can only see and access this share only if I disable the Eset Internet Security Firewall. So it is obvious the firewall is blocking access to the remote share. I have tried the following things without success: 1. delete all rules in the firewall, for a fresh start 2. deleted the known network and configured it as a trust

ESET NOD32 Google Chrome 79 crashes
wokkiedokkie replied to andre.s's topic in ESET Endpoint Products
For additional info,I would liek to share my expertience: On two different computers with Ubuntu 16.04, Chrome and Chromium version 79.x crash, with or without Nod32. Also after uninstalling and reinstalling all products and rebooting in between. On pone of these computers I have removed chrome and chromium, and installed the snap version of chromium version 79. This runs without issue, also when Nod32 ins running! On Windows 10 (10.0.14393) With Eset Internet Security 13.0.24.0 I experience no problem with Chrome 79.x. Hope this helps. -
I run my first smart scan of Nod32 on Ubuntu 16.04LTS. As far as I can tell with the 1 million + files in the log, all of them could not be opened by NOD32, giving an "unable to open" error. What could be wrong with it? Do I need to change permissions, and if so, how? Running version 4.0.90.0, Virus sig db 18180. Thanks, Pieter

Well, this is a big bummer. So my Internet Security license was about to expire, and instead of renewing my license, I bought a complete new one, which was a hell of a lot cheaper. In this case, a Multi-Device Security license for 3 devices. Received a nice email with a license code, WHICH I CAN NOT USE TO ACTIVATE NOD32 For Linux, FCOL!, This product requires a user name and a password, but since I have a completely new license, it also has a new user name and password. No mention is made in the email I received for this new license of user name or password, only a license key and public key.

ESS 8 High memory usage

I tried to make a dump file, but it terminates with an error message: "The operation could not be completed. The data is invalid". It seems this has to do with ekrn.exe being 32 bits on a 64 bit Windows 7. How can I make a dump file that the Eset people succesfully can work with? Btw, creating the dump file increased the memory used by ekrn.exe from 600MB to 1GB!! -
ESS 8 High memory usage

I usually do not restart my computer, but prefer to hybernate it. I only restart it about twice a month (e.g. after windows update). I will reboot and see what happens. If the problem returns, I will post again.
