Where can I find this announcement post. I don't see it.
You can find changes for public programs in surtain tree of this forum. If you are intresterested in EIS when watch EIS products tree and so on. As for insiders tree it is closed to public and is only available for insiders. Also if you would like to be an insider you can watch here https://eset.centercode.com/welcome/

Hello,
It seems that Xiaomi stops various programs from running in the background in order to improve their device's battery runtime.
Can you try following the steps listed in https://dontkillmyapp.com/xiaomi and see if that helps?
Regards,
Aryeh GoretskyYes, they did it by default in their MIUI. In order to enable some app to work in background you need to go to their security app and enable needed app to startup automatically, in this case this app will work in background. I enabled Eset to run in background by this method on my Xiaomi smartphone.

I have ESET Internet Security on my two computers and on my cell. I put Smart Security Premium on my new ASUS as a trial but want to use Internet Security when I purchase the license.
Do I have to delete the 'premium' or can I install Internet Security over the Premium. Thank you. KOR-
You just need to enter new key from Eset Smart Security Premium license in your current EIS install.

Merry Christmas to all of you and happy holidays.

Thanks for the info! It would be great to have this changelog posted here in forum for each update or displayed inside eset program in Help ans Support -> About section.
Changelog allways published here on forum also when stable release is published.

It would be great to have a detailed changelog for pre-release versions, so that people who choose the pre-release cycle, know what modules were added/changed in order to focus bug testing to those areas. For example, today I updated to 12.0.31.0 and I do not know what was added/improved.
As per modules update info go https://support.eset.com/advisories/?segment=home

Glade to know that ESET does not filter only browsers traffic but on Windows ground level as well. Though I think there should be some other AVs filtering the communication on Windows ground level. That is an added protection from malicious attacks. We will be waiting for the HTTP 2 module available to stable versions not just pre-release. Thank you guys for those awesome knowledge and answers. By the way, any idea when ESET will finally add the HTTP 2 module to its products?
I guess this month.

HTTP/2 and Eset work fine together in IE11 or Edge.
Did you enable pre-release update in Eset settings?

By the way, do you know of another AV that doesn't use a web browser add-on for filtering and already fully supports HTTP/2?
Kaspersy AV and Kaspersky Free AV using addons for web browsers and fully supports HTTP2 more then a year. Also many other AV supports HTTP2 - Comodo, Dr.Web, Avast. Some of them even allready supports new TLS 1.3 version (Avast announced TLS 1.3 support with "Avast 2019" AV).

I just upgraded my ESET Antivirus to latest version of 12 and then I noticed that it had started filtering SSL/TLS Traffic which was blocking the support for great HTTP 2.0 Protocol. No browser (Chrome, Firefox etc) are able to upgrade protocol from HTTP 1.1 to HTTP 2 because of this filtration. And the worse, it is pre-enabled by default. Now a days where technology is rising, saving internet bandwidth, traffic and cost using HTTP 2 Protocol, ESET is creating hurdle in way. When this SSL/TLS option is disabled, all browsers can easily communicate over HTTP 2.
I would highly recommend ESET to look into this matter as we are the True Lovers of ESET Products and such actions are not good for its reputation.
Thank you with regards,
Abdul Jabbar Dumrai
HTTP2 support module is available on pre-release update channel, soon it will be available to all.

I am using Windows 10 version 1803. I have recently upgraded Internet Security from version 11 to the latest version 12. I did the upgrade after ESET Internet Security notified me there was a new version available and it installed fine.
Ever since this upgrade however at system start up ESET does not automatically update anymore. Updating the definition databases manually however still works, and so do the automatic hourly updates.
I was wondering what could cause this behaviour? I don't mind manually updating after my computer boots up but this feature did work normally when I still ran version 11.
Is there a setting I missed? Is this intended behaviour? Can someone steer me in the right direction maybe?
As you wrote automatic update of modules and data bases done every hour so this is normal and everything is working fine. I didn't understand you on what version of EIS are you now?

Hello,
I did upgrade from the latest build of EIS to 12.0.27.0 with the update function from EIS, do I have now also the new UI of EIS 2019 or must I download EIS 2019 manually?
I can not see any visible changes to the UI. So I don't know if I use EIS 2018 UI with the EIS 2019 engine!?
EIS 12.0.27.0 is allready EIS 2019. The only UI change is share link, to share a link for download and invite your friends to EIS.

In the next updates for v12? or only for v13 next year?
In minor versions of 12.

Disappointment on the whole line, unfortunately there are no great innovations in the new versions, just ridiculous what was done there, these mistakes could have been made with a normal update.
In next updates there will be more inovations. So wait.

It's funny that you pay for an operating system that will provide you an update to make it more stable or more secure or reliable or whatever you want to call it , instead it crashes your PC and removes your data , and then you should expect the user to be happy because they will offer me data loss applications? , well they are widespread accross the internet these tools , but who wants to spend hours trying to restore GBs of data? , because of someone else fault that decided to release and update that broke systems.
Well that's not what a giant corporation act like , you shouldn't release anything to the public if it will make a mess , you should keep testing till you realize oh wow , we could get it out.
it can happen with any comany or corporation. Also it's few people that have such issue, also this issue doesn't crash computer, it's only delete files in user folder One Drive.

Nothing criminal indeed but when you value the system that you use and the files that you store in your system you expect a corporation that is big as Microsoft to release you something that is stable and won't cause you data loss just because you have decided to stay up to date.
They have tools to restore loss data.

Microsoft has stopped the update from rolling out to people due to the problems that people are experiencing with it , funny ain't it? , they still can't make a stable update.
You could atleast delay that in the future by switching to Semi Annual Channel in the update settings which delays the update till it's approved for mass use
It's happened on some machines that stores files in One Drive with premium subscription and didn't have enough space in One drive and for an update. All others doesn't have any problems. Also an update will be available soon with patch. People who allready updated to 1809 will only receive patch. So nothing criminal.

FYI for anyone "chomping at the bit" to upgrade to Win 10 RS5:
My strong advice is to hold off upgrading till "all the kinks are worked out" of it.
My machine is updated normally and eset product working well on this version of Windows 10.

I'm on beta version now and also with one PC.

It's bad that Eset lost some markets.
