I have had this exact problem occur in Windows 7, safe and normal boot mode. I have never used V1, just V2.

ESET Online Scanner crashes during a scan

Considering the number of posts with this exact issue, I have a feeling it is a bug introduced in the latest version. With that said, I sincerely hope there is a fix soon. -
When I run ESET Online Scanner it crashes about 67% of the way through the scan. The GUI becomes unresponsive, the progress bars all turn black. Windows does not know the scanner is crashed until you try to close its window. Normally, I would not post since this seems to be a common issue recently. However, ESET discovered 6 "threats" before it crashed.
