  1. Hi,

    Tried to uninstall NOD 32 using Revo Uninstaller Pro. ESET disappeared  from Uninstall or Change  , but is still present in Program Files andis running like nothing happened :D :D :D

    So , how can I uninstall it now, as long as is not visible neither in Uninstall or Change a program nor in Revo?

    Thanks!

  2. "The person is complaining about ads"

    Well, "the person" is not complaining about ads, is complaining seeing THE SAME ADD on most of the pages " BUY ESET" , when I already have NOD 32 installed on my PC.

    How come I never seen "Buy Kaspersky" or "Buy Bit Defender"  even though I visit daily their forums.

    Something is going on here....

  3. Hi,

    I have NOD 32 installed on my PC;

    I couldn't help but notice that on most of the pages I visit (newspaper) there is an Advertisement to buy ESET (see attachment)

    I never seen an advertisement to buy another AV; however I already have NOD32 and I do not   plan to buy another for 1 year.

    I am being tracked somehow?

    Thanks!

  4. Hi Marcos,

    As you can see from previous post , it doesn't seem that "everything has been said and explained already"

    Arakasi and some other users are still waiting for a "very huge response" and "even make the press channel" ; it has been highlighted that "The importance of this question is high and EVERYONE KNOWS IT

    If this is all you have to offer, I will take it like a "YES, ESET does not encrypt user name and password" .

    Than you for your answer!

  5. Dear Marcos,

    Several weeks ago an user asked a question about  "AV updates use non encrypted user name / password"

    The question was ignored by any ESET officials and bounced back and forth for a while.

    Finally, you decided to acknowledge the topic and asked for more time to get more information before posting an official answer.

    It's been a month since the OP posted the question; if you have an answer, please provide it.

    If the answer is inconvenient for ESET or ESET doesn't want to provide an answer, please lock the topic.

    Just ignoring the question shows lack of consideration for all ESET users.

    Thanks!

    Respectfully,

  6. Hi Nedim and SweX,

    Thank you for your answers!

    Just to be sure, how do you know that NOD 32 will update after a long period of "OFF" time?

    I had Avira and later 360IS on that laptop; after 3 months, when I turned ON the laptop , Avira couldn't update and I had to manually download "Avira Fusebundle Generator" and , after that everything updated normaly.

    The same happened with 360IS , I had to download "Stand alone virus database", update manually and after that OK.

    The only one which works after a long time "OFF" is MSE ;

    As long as I have a spare license (from 3) I would be happy to install NOD 32 , as long as this will update normally after a long period of "OFF".

    Thanks!

  7. 1. If I select ThreatSense--->Strict Cleaning (default) , an infected item is cleaned automatically (good!) but without informing the user about what just happened (bad)

    Example: I created an Eicar text file and when I pressed "Save" the file just disappeared!!!! In fact was removed by ESET but how an user would know???

    2. Right click on tray icon , and there is " Activate your product..."

    Why is this visible as long as the product is already activated? And , anyway , why is this so important to be visible each and every time when you right clic on ESET icon, as long as you perform this activation, at best, once per year...

    thanks!

  8. Hi SweX,

    "In comparison, a few tests shows that ESET is not "light" "

    The "few test" you are referring is AV Test, recognized worldwide; I do not see how, tests done by users , usually fans of ESET are more trustworthy;

    Truth is , ESET did not perform well in AV test  Jan/Feb 2014.
