  1. Please advise any example rule in endpoint security to allow patch manager tools to run the scan on eset endpoint installed pc, we need to allow gfi languard product scanning and installation, once eset installed machine is not pingable also.


    I tried making my vlans as trusted and also other settings but no luck , any guidance to that will be helpful.

    I am facing issues with cisco ISE client configuration ,with ESET endpoint security 6.3 with HIPS and firewall enabled cisco ISE is not able to identify it as a valid antivirus software and doesnt allow the network access as per the rules.


    Please advise if there is any particular documentation about this integration.




  3. I have configured my updates all through proxy , as i belive that is the better way.


    I do get updates and after some troubleshooting the client update was fixed as i found that migrated old policy was having mirror.


    For file servers this error comes up multiple times but end of the day you will get 1 or 2 updates.


    Please advise and check if my attached configuration on the eset security product is proper and same done on the agent policy . 


    Please advise as i am having this on some 5 servers now but expecting to push the installation to another 100 servers.






  4. Yes i was refferring to that kb, as per the kb you need to configure the proxy to none . but how will the update work when there is no proxy and mirror configuration ?


    I removed the mirror and did clear after that also system doesnt take update, i will restart then check on a client but that will not be feasible on the servers.

  5. We are deploying the latest eset file security 6.3 version, there seems to be an error to all the servers when using the proxy server method or may be with mirror method also .


    Mentioned error", the following warning occurred: Undocumented serious error (1106)" sometimes disapper themselves and update runs back normally if you troubleshoot one server by clearing the update and then do update as mentioned in one of knowledge based  for home products.


    Please advise what can be done with this issue , i cannot troubleshoot or uninstall/restart servers frequently.




  6. Dear Support,


    I am having approximately 300 Mac machines needs eset, i am trying to install the agent remotely with all the required remote sharing enabled on mac as shown in knowledge base but the task fails.


    If i use the live agent installer method and install the agent first then i am able to push the antivirus.


    Please advise troubleshooting method to control the process remotely.

    I would like to know what can be done for the alert which is detecting this toolbar being installed part of the real player program, how can i control this behavior of eset alerts of shown as critical can i remotely do the deleting of this file on a case by case or set this particular program exe as unwanted and for removal list.


    Please advise as many users have this shown as threat , where as an admin has no control on remotely deleting this installer files.






  8. Dear Support,


    We pushed out remote administrator agent on some clients which were having the eset 5 version and that other remote admin server is still available but since the agent is pushed those clients do not take update.


    Please advise if i can rectify that situation till i push new eset 6 to that clients.


    Also i have issues which mac agent pushing, after the agent installation using live agent methods i can push the eset 6 but cannot do the agent pushing initially.





  9. Eset 6 has more security features and has a good engine but the remote administration tool is becoming annoyance as task to do simple remote installation increases by going to server task and then client task and activation so many tasks....


    Well i am living with it but main issue is now that all my clients show this error"Windows Security Center indicates that the feature is not installed or is not running properly"  my domain policy is no security center and windows firewall since long. Now that eset has firewall feature i have it with the domain level network trust and automatic mode.


    Whenever new client is deployed it turns to yellow warning mode with above error, tried my level best to resolve , support is no good for middle east customers.



    Please advise what can be done as i am stuck with eset now as it has been renew for 1 year for my 1300 clients.
