Many thanks for prompt response. That's probably it - I don't have Spybot S&D installed but I have run the portable version from a USB stick some time ago. Thanks again Rabbar

SysInspector shows a large number of files under hosts graded 6 and a few graded 8 Risky. The majority are titled 127.0.0.1 followed by what appears to be a web address none of which look familiar to me. I will appreciate it if someone can explain what these are & whether I need to do anything about the risky ones. Thanks Rabbar
