Hi there, I did a migration from CentOS to the RockyOS VA, but now I'm facing the problem, that the clients refuse to connect to the new server. Even the new Protect VA refuses to connect to the server. 2024-07-31 12:15:13 Error: CReplicationModule [Thread 1408]: CAgentReplicationManager: Replication finished unsuccessfully with message: InitializeConnection: Initiating replication connection to 'removed" port: 2222' failed with: Request: Era.Common.Services.Replication.CheckReplicationConsistencyRequest on connection: host: "removed" port: 2222 with proxy set as: Proxy: Connection: removed:3128, Credentials: Name: , Password: ******, Enabled:1, EnabledFallback:0, failed with error code: 14, error message: Connect Failed, and error details: . Request Id: 06133b9b-7ed9-4592-92db-9bf7939fdd05 Replication details: [Task: CReplicationConsistencyTask, Scenario: Automatic replication (REGULAR), Connection: removed:2222, Connection established: false, Replication inconsistency detected: false, Server busy state detected: false, Realm change detected: false, Realm uuid: 3aa346f6-f970-4047-8e57-298efb4ae8a2, Sent logs: 0, Cached static objects: 80, Cached static object groups: 11, Static objects to save: 0, Static objects to delete: 0, Modified static objects: 0] Ping, tracert, tnc (testnetconnection) are working, so I don't think it is a network problem. Does anyone have a idea? Thanks in advance

Sure, The user has two permission sets for two different customer. Let's say customer A and customer B. He was able to see customer A but customer B was not visible. Under "Computers" only customer A was visible. Under "Dashboard" he was able to select customer B. He also was able to see the status overview of the devices that were assigned to customer B. But if he clicked on "Ok" where he gets transported to the "Computer" Tab, he got shown the devices from Customer A. I consulted with the customer and he told me that no filter was set. The error occurred from one day to the next. I then tried to delete the user completely (from Protect and MSP Administrator) and then create him again. But that was also unsuccessful.

Heya, we have the following problem since a few days: We are a MSP and we have a user who needs to see two different customer. It worked for a time now, but somehow it stopped working. I unassigned the permission sets and reassigned them, but this didn't help. I also tried to delete the user in the protect dashboard but this also didn't work. If I create a new user and assign this user the needed permission sets it is working like it should. Does someone have an idea what I could be missing?

Clients do not join dynamic group after migration from On-Prem

Should we open a support ticket? Or do you have any suggestions why the membership evaluation isn't working? -
Clients do not join dynamic group after migration from On-Prem
bink replied to bink's topic in ESET PROTECT
We are using nothing special. We want the agent to evaluate the membership according to the FQDN. We know that this template is working because, just like I said, if we uninstall the agent beforehand and push the new agent, the group allocation works just fine. -
Hello team, we are migrating a customer from Protect On-Prem to PROTECT with the Migration Policy. We now face the issue that the clients won't join the dynamic group they are supposed to. We have to completely uninstall the agent beforehand and then push the new agent via GPO e.g. But this eliminates the purporse of the migration policy and the whole process of migrating gets cumbersome. Is there anything else we need to be aware of? The dynamic group template etc. are all correct. We checked them like ten times Thanks in advance

Alright, will do. Thank you for the information.

Are there any news on this topic?
-
Yes. I'm still getting the error.

Heya, when I initiate a wake-up call via the Protect, this call sometimes goes through and then I get the message "the push notification service is not available" for quite some time. If I then wait long enough, the next call goes through. Everything is enabled in the firewall and communication with the ESET servers also works. Therefore a question: does the wake-up call have something like a cooldown? So that you can only use it, for example, every 10 minutes? Greetings from Germany
